Cafe's with animasl are not very common here but there was a very nice cat cafe in the town i used to live in. Some of my friends went all the time for studying. Anyway, in a way they also have a no touching rule there which I think might also be what happened to you. You're allowed to pet the cats and whatever if they come to you or laze around near you but you're not supposed to go after them and things. They need to come to you willingly. Otherwise, eventually they will grow wary and afraid and then nobody can pet them anymore. So I understand that the man advertising the otters said no when you just wanted to pet it on the street. That could quickly become very stressfull for the otter if everyone did that. Also sorry to hear you felt unwell, hope your finger heals well now! :) on the other hand, congratulations for the silver button! It is well deserved :) I guess its just ups and downs in life like that.

I loved visiting Japan but i have to say that the animal cafes are really something that disturbed me. I had the impression that Japanese ppl haven t been quite sensitivized enough and owl cafes border on animal cruelty in my eyes. nevertheless love ur channel
