Hi Kimonoko! I didn't know that fruit sandwich originated in Japan! Ever since I was little, I loved fruit sandwiches from a long-established fruit parlor in Kyoto! It is a nostalgic taste for me. It's so easy, you can make it with your kids! Try making them for the Holidays!

Moe…take it from me, when you want to elicit a specific behavior from your child,make a deal with them, for example: No, Sutan, no funny faces now, but how about when we’re washing the fruit? Giving her a specific time for her to look forward to makes it easier, for sure! Hang in there Moe!

Those sandwiches are HUGE! That's my kind of sandwich. I would have gone for the fig sandwich, as I love fresh figs as much as I dislike dried figs. They grow Figs and Kiwi fruit in Dalmatia. I've had occasion to eat them freshly picked, and they're fantastic. I've also picked wild Pomegranates in Dalmatia - lovely!
