In Japan they LOOOVE ripping gaijin's off. They even have a "special service" that you have to pay like $100-150 USD to a dude who will call and make high-end restaurant reservations for you. Then that whole food minimalism is BS. Lot's of marketing and very dishonest and outright hostile attitude towards foreigners.
@mmmtastyalidzie2435
@mmmtastyalidzie2435 2 года назад
many foreign countries do not treat foreigners the same. its very easy to rip them off with a false sense of luxury or security, and its not something exclusive to japan. if anything this experience is the same across many asian countries its like going to tokyo vs going to a rural village, or london vs a small village near the coast, or florida vs …idk a small town in alabama (wherever is an adequate rural place to village in the usa). the capitals/tourist powerhouses are inclined to milk tourists for all they’re worth - theyre in a foreign country and want to experience things, forgetting to wonder if theyre paying a reasonable price.
@Wagner555
@Wagner555 2 года назад
@@mmmtastyalidzie2435 but yet in Japan they have the derogatory term "gaijin". that automatically sets Japanese away from foreigners. I have been to China, Indonesia is North and South Sumatra, Komodo and Lomboc, - treated very well. Especially in rural parts. Japan - they could care less and that's fine. Tourism is not well developed in Japan and everything is way too expensive and tiny.
