I saw phrase like this in Anime a few days ago: - 刀が重い (かたながおもい) sword is heavy! when i tried to paste this into google translate, it translated correctly JP->ENG, but when i reversed it, translator put は instead of が. That condused me. But after this video i think i get it - the machine translation is just oblivious to the context of the phrase and can't know what is the emphasis of the sentence, so it puts the most used particle there. By the way, this phrase is from the Demon Hunter anime, when Tanjiro was fighting against Arrow demon. He was trying to redirect the arrows by his sword which made it difficult to control. In this context the sword was more important than its characteristic. Previously in this fight he almost lost his sword, so his attention was on the sword - thus, the sword is the focus of the sentence.

K jin sensei said for は focus is always after ….but in last sentence risa sensei said 好きなのみもの is focus I thought focus is tea after は? 私しの好きなのみものはお茶です。 お茶が私しの好きなのみものです。
