Nice stuff. FYI Japanese had lenses for magnification since the 1500's. They aquired them from the Dutch. 6× power lenses had become pretty common in Europe by about 1400 & the Dutch were prolific traders with the Japanese b/c of their focus on trade & lack of desire to convert japanese citizens to Christianity.

Awesome. Alex I can't tell you how much I really enjoyed this episode? Unbelievable to see such passion and dedication? Honestly I think I heard more Japanese than if I watched a Japanese movie? Btw i can also shine some light on why one finds what appears to be a Maltese cross in Japan & indeed worldwide in the ancient context but that is getting into mystery school stuff which is difficult to discuss here.
