I really like that about alot of japanese people, similar to how germans can get pretty close to japanese pronounciation by reading romaji out loud like we would; japanese people can get pretty close to german pronounciation in a similar way, but he doesnt stop there but also tries to get it *really* good instead
German and Japanese, besides both being syllable-languages, have very similar phonemes. So it's relatively easy for both sides to get the pronounciation of the other one right even without trying too hard. There are some phonemes in German that Japanese people have to learn first (r, l, f, ch, ö, w), once they master those they usually have the least accent of all East Asiens when speaking German. Germans have to learn ら、り、る、れ、ろ (ra-ri-ru-re-ro) and are good to go, too. It's pretty interesting how both languages have pretty much nothing in common, yet the sounds are so similar.
Thank you to Melanie for sending such wonderful treats! Everything looks so good. The hot mashed potato snack looked really great! Justin was so happy to get a special taste-test of his own this time. He is so cute. Thanks for the great video
Idk what was funnier: Satoshi: raspberry maybe? Shinichi: no, its strawberry 😂 Or when Satoshi starts laughing at the camera, stops, laughs again, stops, laughs. You guys are so funny together. Justin stole the show however with his cute face staring at his snacks for more.
I love Germany and have motorcycled around the country many times 💚 Satoshi would enjoy it too, Germany makes some of the best beer in the world, you guys should visit :-)
Hey! I am a German girl and i think too. Germany is so beautiful and have a lot of good food. And the Heer is soooo gooood! But when you learn the langulege(?)... It's so Hard... So so hard
Hi Satoshi and Shinichi, try the Vitamalz ice-cold (like stored over night in the Fridge), than it tastes really good. The Brandt Minis are great with Milk: crumble some into a Bowl and add some cold Milk and let the crumbles soak a bit in the Milk and than eat with a Spoon, great for Breakfast. Also the Minis are great for dunking into Coffee or Tea but that is a question of taste :D The Potato Snack is really good and there many different Flavors. They are great when traveling by Train, just pull it out of the Bag, add some Hot water from a Thermos and enjoy the scenery while eating some nice Mashed Potatos. Greetings from Germany
Bourbon Island is actually now called Reunion Island, don't ask me why, but yes! I was thinking this too. And it also includes Madagascar and Comoros. So glad to see I'm not the only one who got this!
If you pour the Vitamalz from a higher distance, it gets a foam top like beer. When I was a kid it felt like drinking beer to me. It is brewed from barley, hops, and water, much like beer. This drink is also very popular in the Carribean and known as Malta.
Fun video and I always love when Justin gets a little snack from a different country. He's too cute! I would have loved to try that beer with the peanuts; Satoshi seemed to really enjoy the combination. Thanks for sharing guys!
Satoshi`s German gets even better from review to review. Realy honestly If you would practice for some time you could speak it with no accent like a native tounge. Already nailed it with "Kracher".
Malzbier is great for me since i'm not really a beer drinker. I love Jumpys. They aren't cheap for the amount you get though. The mashed potato pot is great, perfect for work or after school :)
Hi, Shinichi & Satoshi🎵 I was so stoked to get the YT notification for this vid! I really enjoyed watching this vid. I love German おかし❤ My mouth just watered watching you guys eat those yummy gummies! How do you guys do it, I mean stay in shape when you eat a ton of goodies from around the world!
Always a pleasure to watch taste tests ❤ You are really good with all those German "ch"-words! Many people have problems pronouncing the different kinds of "ch" but you do it right 😊
As a guy who's currently living in Hanover, it's almost surreal for me to see you guys drinking a can of Herrenhäuser :-) It's really very popular in this region, while the rest of Germany barely doesn't know about it.
At 17: 24 .....the taste you try to find to describe is probably Malt or malty. The produt Named "Bavarian Block Malt". I know an simular Product named "Malz-Brocken" = "Malt chunks".....i love the Taste too. Memories of my childhood. You have a new subscriber.
when I was a child I had those "Brandt Zwieback" with chamomile tea whenever I had a bad stomach.. but not those with topping, the pure one.. some people still do this, I can't stand the taste and texture anymore
**LOL*** I am born in Hannover and before watching the Vid I thought about how to send Satoshi my favorite beer, Herrenhäuser. This seems to be destiny. I was ROLLING ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING... . I think and click watch and see the ONE Item my Beer I was thinking of^^...But Satoshi belief me, if you drink this beer as we do, out of a 0,33l bottle named Bombe it is sooooooooo much better. Any Beverage is tastier out of a glass bottle and not a Tin
ohhhh now i want to send them a packet im from Germany to im from southes south Schwarzwald (Black forest) we have some local stuff and special Beer :D
Please do :) I think you can send them if you have facebook or instagram address-or just PM them in youtube. Shinichi pays more attention to his newest channels, Shinichi's World; I will travel for food more. try him there.
I wish I could post a picture but we have chicken flavoured Jumpys chips here in Australia too! Used to have BBQ but they didn't sell well. I wonder who makes the German version and if it's affiliated with our version because they look and have the same consistency as our version!
For the Vitamalz the taste is the same as for the Russisch Brot and the Blockmalz: Malt. Better drink Vitamalz only ice cold. :-). For the Brandt Zwieback: put frozen or very cold butter on them and you're going to feel like in heaven. ;-)
My sister bought some malted barley candy from Japan to try, I'm wondering if that malt drink tasted similar? It kind of tastes like Ricola cough drops in a good way
Jumpys are super cute, however I concur with your choices of dehydratied potato& soup. We only get plain dehydrated potato, but adding miso with veg would give a flavour boost. The Germans have some great food
Great video, as always! Satoshi, have you tried German "Blockmalz" before (perhaps in another taste test)? Maybe this is why the Vitamalz drink reminds you of candy :)
We have chicken flavoured Jumpys chips here in Australia (kinda obvious being kangaroo shaped!). They are an old 90's kids snack. They're not as popular but still nostalgic
Oh another german candy... I am exited what´s coming( haven´t seen the Vid yet)^^... Sorry Guys that I haven´t send you a package myself as I promised...but close to Shinichi I suffer from PostTraumaticStressDisorder and Depression. I had to quit Work, what I hated, but I will regain my spirit and fight. I will send you an awesome german treats package full of bakerys and bread as soon as I can afford it and be a little better. Shinichi ( don´t know how to write) gave me lots of hope, you have a healthy Relationship, you work, you go outside, you FIGHT! I will too!!! You are kind of an Idol^^
Yes, on the pack it's Raspberry and Cassis flavoured (Cassis is pretty much blackcurrant). Do you know why blackcurrants are or were illegal in some parts of the US for about 50 years? Because it was thought the plants had a fungus that threatened the timber industry. Now the state of NY repealed that ban and have been growing blackcurrant plants for a while now. It's rather a unique flavour. More popular in the UK though. Here in Aus we have a cordial or syrup that you mix with water called Ribena that's blackcurrant flavoured. Very fruity and refreshing!
Some nice stuff from my area I like myself, especially the Kracher (though I prefer the packs with only Cola they also sell) but if you eat too many of them your mouth can get sore. My father used to drink Vita Malz but I never liked it, like you said to me it tastes like medicin. Bourbon Vanille has nothing to do with the alcoholic drink, it's named after the place the vanilla is harvested.
