Jarkko Ahola started with his own heavyband Teräsbetoni as the singer. He plays bass....you should really check out his heavier stuff, he is an amazing singer with no vocal training at all. He is now very popular with his own tours in Finland. Especially his Christmas concerts like where this is from are amazing. He is a singer, songwriter and playes guitar and bass. There is so much to explore in his catalog. If you want opera check out Nessun Dorma or Adagio, he represented Finland in Eurovision 2008 with Missä miehet ratsastaa, or you can check out Northern Kings My Way. Enjoy...I enjoyed this.

I love this sooo much!!! I watched The Snowman at a very young age (I’m American, by the way, so I guess it’s popular among some of us,) and then rediscovered the song YEARS later thanks to Nightwish. I’ve performed the song with my family sometimes during Christmas. This version is sooo good!

Thank you for this! Jarkko is like a male version of Floor, he can sing anything. Try some "Northern Kings" songs like "We don´t need another hero" or "I just died in your arms tonite". In this combo are 3 other amazing Finnish male singers Marko, Toni Kakko and JP. Leppäluoto. And of course Jarkko´s own performances.

This is how i got introduced to this amazing singer/songwriter...i was peasant surprised and yes because of this i was thinking he could easily take over from Marko! What a range he has! Jarkko Ahola is a really good singer. He has also made a lot of covers in his career, really good ones. And at his gigs, he can perform Queen covers, for example. Based on this, you can probably guess how well he presents them! I don't remember now, but have you become acquainted with the Finnish "boy band" Northern Kings? Four Finnish metal singers - Marko Hietala, Jarkko Ahola, J-P Leppäluoto and Tony Kakko. I’m sure you recognize those names ... They took pop / rock songs and turned them into metal, made 2 such cover albums. If you have heard them, then you have probably heard Jarkko as well.
