In this case, she was “attacked” first and no one seems to covering that part of it, and surprisingly she was far less offensive with her language though her insults cut worse.

She said what she said (calmly, that's why it's so funny), so why don't they do the same? This is when people often use terminology or talking points, intending to say what they cant actually say. So although not being overtly racist, you know what they're saying, and they know you know what they are saying. Just like blowing a dog whistle. Though there is barely any sound (or moreorless, a very distinct sound, specifically targeting dogs), the dog still hears it.
