weird seeing him so young. did i look that good in 1997? not that he looked bad in his later years. we are just getting old i guess. i really miss him. not that i knew him. i only met him a few times. i liked that he was around and writing songs that spoke to me. that little guy left quite the mark on a lot of people. im happy to be one of them.
I hurt that this guy is still not around . He writes my story ....I play anf write too...but everytime I try lately ...Jason says come on man ...do it like this

Does anyone know what kind of guitar it is? I know only it's a tenor guitar..

+Franz H. Blake That's a Kay model that's for sure (the logo), the model is most likely a vanguard judging by the shape. I had one of those for a while, they're amazing guitars. I hope you get this since it's been a year.
It’s a modded guitar into a tenor. I’m a ukulele player and I converted over to tenor acoustic and had a friend mod my telecaster into a tenor electric I play Chicago tuning (baritone ukulele tuning ).
@@Ombrophobicyeah, but I’m not quite sure about Chicago Tuning.. trying to catch the notes in the original recordings, I’m quite sure he leaves the four bottom strings (EADG) rather than the four top (DGBE)..
@@FranzHBlake that’s possible in his case I’d have to try look into it more. Considering he started on a tenor guitar it’s normally strung for standard tenor tuning like classic 4 string banjo tuning or Chicago tuning. I guess it’s possible He altered the tenor to use thicker gauges for that tuning but it’s not exactly ideal.
