This song is one of my favorites! Love it at that segment starting at 3:07. 5:00 starts my favorite phrase. (I also love that "your smile pressed against mine" line) 5:08 gives me chills every time! :) I could not possibly be more in love with his voice.

I am enamored. And have been a fan for way too long to have not seen him in concert.

By far one of the best voices and song writers of our generation. Up there with Dave Matthews and Martin Sexton. I've seen Jason live 15 times and truly "Running", "Galaxy" and "Water" are his legacy and no one knows these songs which I don't understand..

i was there!!!! there was seriously less than 100 people here that day and they had like 3 acts before jason, then i remember james blunt played like two songs after. That was an awesome day.

Im voicing another comment on this song. Its grown quite close to me and shares a special place in my thoughts when I open my eyes and see my life as its happening.. I have lots of wants and wishes and they are all simple but yet so hard to achieve by those who claim they love me. I suppose I will keep sailing with Mraz till I get it sorted out. He IS the only safe way to travel!

He's the only artist I know of (other than Phil Collins) who can string together sentences and phrases that have no meaning and no relevance to each other, and make it sound good His notes and his voice sound so smooth that it sweeps you up and carries you through the sea of meaningless words, themselves only vessels for the music... Oh, and he really knows how to work an atmosphere. With just one acoustic guitar? Cool

I love this song as well as all the others. He CANNOT make an OK song. His mind is amazingly calming and I think thats why we all love him so much. Its his spirit that shines every time he opens his mouth.

The man is a genius...and extremely good looking, haha. But anyway. Although I think his studio work is fabulous, his live performances are unbelievable. I have yet to see him live myself, but I eagerly await that day. The music world is truly graced with his presence :]

completely agree. As good of an album as Mr Az was it can't compare to the live stuff. An al acoustic album with just him or toca or even the trio would be bestttt

he is actually divorced and had a relationship with trisha prettyman. I think it takes a lot of balls for an artist to release a song like "A Song for a friend" ... it is also a very beautiful song.

Lame lyrics? you gotta be kidding me. his lyrics are amazing. his vocal arrangement is incredible its pretty damn original to me at least he's being himself and not singing like anybody else. Amos lee sounds just like any other blues singer hes good but Mraz is himself and thats it ive never heard anybody before him sound like he does.

Dumb argument. Amos Lee is great, but Mraz is an other-worldly talent, that most haven't seen his full depth. I'm a good musician myself, but I'm smart enough to know the depth of Jason.
