This video should be titled “Craig Jones let’s Jason Nolf out of several submissions”
@schenksteven1
@schenksteven1 2 года назад
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! It could just as easily be titled, "Jason Nolf lets Craig Jones out of several pinning combinations!" The video is unfortunately titled... clearly they are not wreslting (ie using a wrestling rule set) but rather rolling/grappling (using a BJJ rule set). Even more clearly, they are not competing, but having fun.

It is training. In that you put yourself in positions to learn how to fight in those positions. If you only do what you are good at you do not improve. PSU wrestling philosophy 101.

@@770MASTER absolutely. Ii definitely have appreciated seeing the variety of ways in which the solution develops while watching these videos. We all tend to have our go to methods, but being able to have a variety and seeing the opportunities for them has almost been like An “ahhhhh *exhale” as I see possibilities and variety as opposed to the “of it gets to this point you are sol” watching these videos gives me comfort again in the limitedness possibilities of grappling.

I agree. sometimes you see a move in a rolling video and you feel like you can pull it off, and you do pull it off repeatedly, and sometimes you pay $250 for a gordon ryan mount escape series and you end up with no real improvement to your game.

100%. The amount of stuff Craig has become super high level with in the past year or two is pretty insane. He hasn't had a ton of matches in the past year, but he's had a ton of rolling footage posted. And he's doing all types of stuff in them that he wasn't doing all the time in competition before. It'll be really fun to watch him break some of this stuff out on the big stages.

Adam is amazing with the butterfly guard, but Craig polished it enough from learned with Danaher. I would say Danaher knows it more and teaches it better than Adam. The man literally goes home and studies footage all day creating new ideas and breaking down techniques to its core. I would say Craig can easily sweep Adam.
@hermanmelville3871
@hermanmelville3871 2 года назад
@@joshuaroun14 having rolled a bunch with Adam I’d say that he probably is still at a higher level with the hook sweeps than Craig, and is going to have an easier time shutting it down given his knowledge of the position. That being said it’d be fun as hell to watch as I’m a massive fan of both.

@@hermanmelville3871 I would bet that Adam is barley scratching the surface of the mechanics theoretically and has created immense “muscle memory”, Danaher literally spends days and days studying and breaking down for his students to master it.
