“Ring ring! So how do you keep a secret from the world’s greatest detective? Well do you know, you stick it right in front of him, right under his long pointy nose, and wait!” This line now haunts my nightmares
For real. It's absolutely true, even for anybody. Things hidden in plain sight are never discovered until they're brought to the surface (metaphorically speaking).
What's scarier is that if you read the Arkham Knight Genesis comics, they show in graphic detail what Jason went through. Joker broke him, then let him go to wreak havoc. Even beyond the grave, Joker won. At least in the short term.
The fact that joker was able to torture jason within the asylum just goes to show how much control the villians have over the asylum, even when it does not seem like it
@@timstutting6767I heard that Todd was either tortured in Arkham Mansion right outside Dr Young’s office where Ra’s Al Ghul’s body was if you compare the floor titles. I also head that he either was tortured there OR right outside the main elevator in the medical facility predator room.
And it shows how big of a role corrupt Arkham Asylum guard Frank Boles had as well. His role wasn’t just to help Joker escape Intensive Treatment in the game, it’s pretty obvious that he also helped Joker sneak around so Joker can torture Jason Todd.
For me the saddest thing about this is that Batman doesn’t say anything when he sees the wheelchair and where jason’ s cell where joker kept him . I know Batman thought Jason was dead but come on , Jason suffered too much .
Well he was speaking to himself probably. And the way he says "Im sorry" In arkham Knight night night not be the best thing to say but the tone of his voice says he knows alot what Jason been trough but he cant do anything about it
If Batman just missed Jason why didn’t he hear him through the walls unless they were sound proof but in Arkham vr we hear Jason scream so the walls are not sound proof
Nah i think it's cuz he was already done with Jason and Jason was the Archambault knight/Red hood cuz he was tortured for an entire year after Jason "died"
You can faintly hear Jason Todd's screams in the Return To Arkham: Batman Arkham Asylum when going through the experimental chambers near the 1st scarecrow sighting
@@OwenC08 no i think you meant the arkham vr game when youre going through the asylum you could hear jasons screams. ru-vid.comG_cYFizIExE?si=tSDxayQQ92JtsrYE
Actually I found one similar in Intensive Treatment and it had a Joker card laying on the floor. The room is in Transfer Loop, and is the same one containing the "A top hat and tails is the only dress code for this party in the North" riddle.
This video proves that when joker took over the asylum, his first priority was to hide Jason, that's why the cell door was left open, and the chair and wheelchair were put away in that room, the wheel still spinning. And joker took Jason to an "abandoned wing of arkham" to hide him and continue torturing him to create the arkham knight. The arkham knight was joker's last revenge against gotham. The arkham knight didn't work for scarecrow, but with him. He only listened to scarecrow's occasional orders because Jason knew scarecrow was older and smarter, and had a good plan. So all while batman was trying to save arkham asylum, the arkham knight was being created, and I'm sure scarecrow was aware of this, and the writers kept it a secret because scarecrow would want to seem like he had nothing to do with it. He was a part of it all.
Well Scarecrow do know Jason is Arkham Knight because there is a tape were u can hear him and Scarecrow talkikg to Barbara when she is captured. And he unmask in front of Barbara so she knows and Scarecrow saw it too. You unlock that tape by one of riddler trophies but u can hear it on youtube
It was actually worse. In the comics Joker was holding his birth mother hostage in AFRICA and he was kept, has to watch joker beat her to death and was then left to die, he was blown up. Then brought back to life by the league of shadows in the Lazarus pit which made him even more unhinged and crazy
@@DanielValentin0508 Yea like dying with your Mother is really dark. But in the Arkhamverse Joker didn’t even torture him it was even worse than torturing someone. Like I knew the Joker was super evil but After what he did to Jason that’s just miles of messed up.
@@long_shot4794 but I'm just surprised that they had all the details and story points all figured out 6 years before. and they easily didn't have to add Jason Todd Easter eggs and hints but they did
Jason Todd also known as The Red Hood and the second person to pick up the role of Robin. His personality is practically identical to that of Raphael from the Ninja Turtles hot headed and aggressive. Although the comic version is slightly different with his mom leading to his kidnapping I find the new story much more brutal. In the comics Jason Todd was finding leads to find out who his real mom was while Batman was finding leads to find out where the Joker was, only to find out the two cases were linked. The two teamed up and found where the Joker had been hiding and Batman specifically told Jason to wait until he comes back. However, Jason didn’t wait and noticed his mom around the same area as the Joker and went to go save her. They reconnected for a moment before Joker arrived and Jason’s own mother aiming a gun towards Jason. Cornered Joker started beating him up with a crowbar to the point he couldn’t walk and tied up both of them. Even after all that happened he still tried to save his mom after noticing a bomb in the building they were in. Batman now racing back to Jason’s location notices he’s not there anymore and goes straight to the building they’re in only for it to explode as soon as he’s about to go in. Batman finds Jason’s body and is pronounced dead until he’s later revived. In this new version we know Jason Todd is captured by the Joker and was tortured for over a year in Arkham Asylum. He was tortured for about 6 months before sending Batman the footage of him killing Jason. With little to literally no clues where Jason was Batman eventually gave up the search and assumed Jason was killed. However, the Joker fooled Batman by having placed body armor on Jason so he not only survived the gunshot but could now torture him further. Jason throughout the entire time had faith Batman would show up one day and rescue him but never did. Jason was tortured for over a year in Arkham Asylum and got little to no sleep during that time the torture was so brutal that even Harley Quinn felt bad. Over time the Joker made Jason feel like Batman replaced and abandoned him by saying there was a new Robin in town (Tim Drake the third Robin). This is where and when Jason would start to hate Batman. As to how Jason escaped that would be thanks to Deathstroke (Slade Wilson) and would begin his training to become the Arkham Knight and get his revenge on Batman. However, Batman explains what had happened and offers Jason help to where Jason hesitated but helped Batman defeat Scarecrow towards the end of the events of Batman: Arkham Knight slowly sending him on his way to being The Red Hood. In the games Jason Todd’s torturing may have been happening during and after the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum with the help of corrupt prison guard Frank Boles (Former Ally of the Joker) which could explain how the Joker was able to torture Jason without raising any suspicions and how they could have had access to the rooms in Arkham Asylum. The Wheel Chair’s wheel still spinning as well as Boles dying in the game makes me believe that Joker probably didn’t want any loose ends… Sorry for the spam! I doubt anytime will read this but thank you for your time if you did and I wish you all the best!! Thank you Kevin Conroy! 🖤
The amazing part is all throughout Batman and Jokers movies and cartoons. Joker has pushed people aside such as Harley for one instance for Batman. Batman was the ultimate thing he cared about and wanted but what I like about this game as that, batman wasn't his focus. Yea he tortured Jason into hating Batman but he tried to trick Batman into thinking Jason was dead so he could torture him more. He kept him alive or nearly two years to fuck with him. All that time he could have asked for Bat's real name, killed him and went after Batman but he didn't. The time that he did was only a set up to trick Batman into thinking he was dead. For me, this game was the first thing that showed that Joker's focus wasn't so much on Batman and he didn't really care that much. He just wanted to torture Jason for as long as he could and when news of Batman's coming he hid him. Or tried to at least instead of say leaving his dead body out for Batman because he didn't care all that much. All he cared about was hiding jason and continuing his torture unlike in the cartoons, Batman is about one of the only if not top thing he cares about.
@@srstriker6420 if I remember correctly I think joker sent him down to where Jason was being tortured to kill him but Jason bribed him and he helped him get out (or something along those lines)
@@srstriker6420 the joker knew he was alive as he says in arkham knight when jason reveals himself. Joker was trying to break jason to the point where he would work for him and shot him in his chest where he knew that jason's armor was strongest
i don't know how or why nobody brought this up yet, but in Arkham knight there's a Predator map called "Silent Knight" and there are Like wheelchair marks on the floor in front of one of the doors!
Check out the thomas Elliot riddle white board . There's a clue for batman to let him know he was in there. Nurse number nine. And Oliver (R) Queen(R) and Jason Peter Todd(R). It seemed he was caught and dragged out through the gates. It seems he was trying to catch the eyes of the one person who knew who the Green Arrows real name. 3 nurses ends with a (R). Nurse 9, you can see a struggle. It was Jason being dragged out.
0:25 This is so fucked up. I can't imagine how Jason felt, knowing he could almost have escaped the Joker's hands. Edit: At this point, Gotham should give up making prisons and asylums under the Arkham name.
my only problem with these Easter eggs is they seem to be from the Return to Arkham version which makes me think they were planted after Arkham Knight was already in development
Well it’s weird cause apparently the votes was even but one guy made multiple calls to kill him and plus this event was like in the newspapers a first for comics
You mean to tell me Jason Todd was being tortured to death during the events of Arkham Asylum? Under Batman's nose? I thought Batman had a batcave underneath Arkham Asylum. You know that cave that's suppose to be a home away from home. You mean to tell me Batman didn't see any activity of Joker torturing jason while monitoring the asylum?
I feel like a lot of this is assumed because I don't think they were thinking this far ahead when Arkham Asylum came out. There was a whole hospital on Arkham Island so I'm sure they had lots of the same wheelchair. Plus Jason talks in Arkham Knight about being left in an abandoned wing of Arkham so I don't think Joker kept him anywhere he thought Batman would end up or where prisoners/patients were actually kept. If you look around in that cell block, there are a couple more cells with that exact same graffiti in them. I think the devs knew they wanted to do something with the Red Hood at some point if the series made it past Arkham City but they weren't sure what at this point. Pretty sure Batman's demeanor is different at every point in the story shown after Arkham City because of Talia. He also says that it's the last time when you finish Nightwing's missions against Penguin which you can do before you learn that Jason is the Arkham Knight. You can finish the Riddler stuff before the final showdown with Jason and the dialogue is the same between Batman and Catwoman. When he says Gotham needs something worse, he means something or someone that's such a deterrent that it doesn't invoke challenge because despite everything he'd done, he's still just a man and his enemies know that so by staying, he'd just be escalating things. Story wise, I do believe there's a strong possibility that Jason was still on the island during the events of Asylum but I don't think he was anywhere you can actually reach in the game. I know there's also the possibility that people like to talk about with the cells in front of Dr. Young's office having the same tile flooring that Batman sees in the flashback sequences but I think Jason would've mentioned Dr. Young or she would've been brought up in the one of the riddles about him. It's also possible that Jason was long gone during Asylum because Joker was so deep into his Titan research with Dr. Young or that he escaped during the events of Asylum.
All of this is a massive stretch. There are wheelchairs in various parts of the Asylum, and those drawings are textures reused all over the Asylum. Rocksteady didn't have Knight planned that early. They barely even had any ideas for City until late in development on Asylum (Which was when they added Sharp's secret room with the plans for Arkham City).
You can find one in the medical facility. Go through the hole in the wall where you chased after Scarecrow near the start of the game. Theres also another one in the mansion beside amadeus arkhams cell
That’s so cool they finally connected the dots and everything but if Batman was getting ready to come where did joker? Hide Jason, and where did the joker go? And if you can find all these clues in Arkham Asylum, why don’t they just show Jason Todd in Arkham city and in Batman Arkham night you can see the videos of joker torturing Jason How can Batman see Jason getting tortured when he was never there
Just because Bruce saw Jason get shot in the video that joker sent to him, it doesn’t mean he can just confirm Jason dead., he should have really gone looking for him if there a tracker built in the Robin suit Jason was wearing.
The first one (the wheelchair one) Is wrong because his legs and back were strapped to the chair with barbed wire giving him a hunched pose and on the chair this is absolutely nothing Even if joker took Jason out of the chair there would still be Barbed wire on the chair
Red hood:my past was all lies,i got killed by joker, the good thing is that super boy reseted the day when i died and i also started to be Red hood and im back from the dead
Guys you do realise this isn’t the wheel chair Jason Todd was in they didn’t even try to hint at Jason Todd in the first Arkham game so all this stuff about it is wrong especially the bit where the person says that you can find the chair he was shot in. That is BS right there because they weren’t even planning Arkham knight yet they were at the time making Arkham city
don't forget catwoman is the same one who comforts batman in the cartoon when nightwing/dick died from damian. she picked the mansion lock and found alfred drinking in a chair so she went to find bruce and he was literally punching until his fists were bloody.
The only reason he pushed away Selina was because he didn't think he would see her again hence the reason for that final kiss because he loved her and he didn't want her to feel bad about his "death" Which I am sure shortly after Superman found him Selina and the bat family knew Bruce was alive
i know that people complained how Jason was a pussy in AK compared to his other versions. But hey, he was totured by the Joker for over a year. And that almost everyday. screamed and beging for his life.
1st one is not real, because it't in a completely different room than the one he was seen being tortured in in arkham knight, also there are other chairs in the asylum that look exactly like it, with one wheel spinning.
How did he survive the gunshot though in the comics Jason is never given bulletproof armor. Maybe they mentioned all the Robins have bullet proof armor in the Arkham Verse and I just missed it.
Good theory but I don’t think so. Because the floor is different and it’s not abandoned, the wheel chair is probably a standard issued wheelchair for the asylums patients.
When you at the movies with your fam and you have to share a drink with your sibling only to find out that they drank it all, but when you ask for more, your parents say it’s too expensive and your sibling just gives you a smug face: 2:16
Imagine a live action movie of Robin being killed by the Joker & broadcast at Time Square & then all u see is the Jokers face on every screen 🃏 🤡 🃏 🤡 🃏 🤡
Not sure how true this is, & if this is your head cannon, please stop reading here, but.... I've seen the same chairs all over the asylum, the same wheelchair is in the room you find Ra's Al Ghul's corpse, among others, & the room with the 'jason doodles' has a random Phelous/DarkSydePhil looking guy in it. Even if joker happened to lock a different person in there, in my opinion, the doodles are too vague. It's cool to believe & have head cannons, so if this is anyone's, that's fine, but if you put any thought into it, it kinda falls apart. Edit: I found the same Jason doodles in no less than 3 cells & counting, in the same room in the penitentiary.
Too bad joker was dead in Arkham Knight. We could've had that great dynamic where jason, the joker, & bats are all in the same room. Like some fucked up family therapy.
In Arkham Knight, Joker was technically there, but only in Batman's psyche and vision lol. So basically Jim, Jason, Joker and Batman were all in the same room, except Joker could only be seen by Bruce
@@Black_Knight_-BK- I know that, but wouldn't it have been awesome to have a moment like in Under the red hood, maybe a whole boss fight where you're trying to stop Jason from killing joker, but joker is trying to sabotage you & kill everyone?
There is nothing to suggest that the wheelchair is the same one used in his torture. You can find another wheelchair like that in the transfer loop where the Iceberg Lounge riddle is located. Also, it clearly isn't the same model. It seems to just be coincidental only. It's possible he was set up to be a character, but the wheelchair is more than likely a coincidence and by that point it's more likely he wasn't already set up.
why does everyone in the comments just believe this as fact? Jason Todd references before Arkham Knight have never been confirmed anywhere by anyone and are just speculation and fan theories.
Hey DiBBagE I have question how jason is alive i mean see in arkham knight theres no reference that jason being revived in LAZARUS PIT how did he become arkham knight how did he escaped?
