Especially if you read the Arkhamverse wiki on Jason Todd it explains everything and all the events of what happens while you where playing Batman in Asylum, City, and Knight. Good riddance to The Joker for finally dying in Arkham City and finally sealed off in Batman’s memories when he tried to take control of Bruce’s mind under the fear toxin injected in. Good riddance to The Joker his fate was worse than than death he was burnt and shown his worst fear of being forgotten. At least Jason Todd lives because when Joker shot him he shot him in the chest not the head. So that’s how Jason Todd lived the same way Tim Drake lived when he was shot once by Scarecrow.
I’ve heard a lot of people say that Jason was just being a baby. Not just like his character personality in Arkham Knight but overall like in the comics too. I think that if I was stuck with the joker for 2 years getting tortured And getting beat up and getting hit with his mind games I’d come out just as fucked up as Jason did.
Who the hell say something like that? Those are the people who think that if they were them in that same situation, they would handle it. But noooo, they would have be just like Jason was, in pure agony, fear, pain, hatress, etc. Its like when someone its watching a detective show and see a dead body and they think that seeing a dead body in real life would be nothing. But they are wrong, the fictional and the real life are two different things. Not because they think if they saw something on tv or read something in a comic they would be ok in real life. It doesnt work like that.
It's better to show restraint than just kill people indiscriminately, if you were to do any of the things batman did you would end up dead before even accomplishing anything
From the second Jason put off the mask, his voice is full of pain and you can hear him stutters and whimpers. Here you can see the role of the arkham knight was a shield to protect himself from all the pain too and not just to confuse Batman. When he put off the mask he is just Jason Todd. A Kid that was tortured. Not only from the Joker no.....from the entire World. His entire Life was a big fat F*ck you. This character is so deep and sad.
@@last-shinobi-of-the-oboro-clan The several reboots of DC and alternate storylines doesn't help with keeping a consistant origin story for Jason. But most of the fan favor the version of the movie "Under the Red Hood", the first one without alternate stories. Killed by joker, got brought back by Raz Al Ghul with the Lazarus Pit, turned crazy for a while, came back to Gothan under the Identity of "Red Hood" to proove to Batman that killing criminals is "The" solution, and to take his revenge on Joker.
I have nooo idea how they’re going to balance him tho. If he has guns then he can easily take out enemies without much skill or strategy. Why wouldn’t you choose him?
The line "If only I had a camera when I swept Barbara off her feet" isn't a nod to what he did to Jason, it's a nod to The Killing Joke, where after shooting Barbara, he then used a camera to take pictures of her and put them into a slideshow in order to drive Commissioner Gordon insane.
I never knew that audio file of Jason (as Arkham Knight) and Barbara existed. It's sweet. Also I noticed how when Jason takes off the Arkham Knight mask his voice completely changes. Not just because of the voice modulation of course but the tone and pitch of his voice is much higher and broken, less confident, more emotional. It's like his voice mimics a child disheartened by something their parent has done. Because that's really all that's happened to him.
It was Jason's fault, though. In the bio, it said he tried going after Joker himself, despite Batman telling him no, because Jason was going to kill Joker. And look where it got him.
In Arkham Asylum, there was a hint. Before the Boss fight with Bane, the Joker says something like: "Maybe i give you Harley. I think you need a new SIDEKICK. "
fun fact: this line was actually about barbara. since when he shot barbara he had no idea she was batgirl, when batgirl disappeared off the streets, he assumed that she was dead.
The votes were tampered with if they weren't it would have let Jason live but some people who hated him made something like 8000 extra calls on randomized numbers to have him killed
@@SmoothSleek Batman will be the most unstoppable force cuz of his high iq and tech his brutal ness will be more than just a Coma it will be broken bones and a broken neck Batman would be more dangerous than red hood
"Jason, I can help you" In his eyes you're already too late Bruce, you have all the time in the world to find him and help him but then you chose to replace him. In his eyes, you're a traitor
You act like Batman didn't try to find him. Jason took off his tracker before leaving, so Batman couldn't find him and was at the mercy of the Joker. It's Jason's own fault that he was lost.
Is that what you think this is about?! That you let me die? I don't know what clouded your judgment worse. Your guilt or your antiquated sense of morality. Bruce, I forgive you... For not saving me. But why, why on God's earth is HE still alive?!
I know that it came from Under The Red Hood, but Jason cannot say that in the Arkhamverse since Joker died and it was Jason's fault for getting himself tortured.
@@ihavenonamestilldonthaveon8970 He went after the Joker when Batman told him no. If he didn't go after Joker, then the Joker wouldn't have tormented him.
@@Samuel152 yeah but you gotta think about this logically. In the heat of the moment you got adrenaline pumping through your system like crazy. It takes a great deal of self control and even then its hard not to get caught up in it
@@bman296 It wasn't in the heat of the moment, though. Jason thought of going after the Joker, when Batman heard/knew it, he told Jason to stay away, and Jason still insisted on going after the clown. Jason knew what he was doing, until the Joker ambushed him.
If you read the comics prequel to this, you know just how far Joker went with torturing Jason. They don't show it, but it is implied at various times that he _aped him. Joker calls him "boy toy" and other terms of "affection". Harley Quinn is shown to be jealous of Jason. It's horrible when you think about it. Anyone saying Jason is just being whiny or some dumb shit like this clearly has no idea. It's worse than what Joker does to Tim Drake in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. At one point early on Jason is tied to a chair and villains are just pummeling him. He's tortured in other ways, daily, for over two years. He already thinks Batman has forgotten him, and Joker just pulls on that thread. I forget the name of the comic but you can find it online. Obviously a dark story. Don't expect any light moments.
@@Khushi-Shah It's true. In some universes, Jason went after Joker which got him kidnapped. If he didn't do that, then Joker wouldn't got his hands on him.
you grow up watching Batman and all these hero’s and everything it’s fun and games until you grow up and find out the truths and the stories about the hero’s, and then you look at them wayyy differently than u did in the past.kinda like life.
Tbh I feel like Batman could've gotten thru to Jason quickly if he just said "I love you son, I'm sorry I never told u that sooner".... any Robin would be shocked af hearing that.... just my opinion tho
@@grega3611 Jason took off his tracker, so Batman wouldn't find him and the Joker kept it hidden from him until it was too late. In some universes, Batman finds Jason dead and buried him.
I always get shivers whenever I see how scared Jason is once Batman has him pinned to the ground, and about to punch him. Poor guy. He is still just a scared little boy.
I mean Batman wasn't actually going to take a new Robin after Jason, but Tim basically forced him to accept him as Robin because he discovered that Batman was Bruce Wayne and he could tell that Jason's death really messed him up.
I played Arkham Knight over and over again and never knew about the Arkham Knight taped until now. I'm crying. As a hard-core Redhood fan and Jason fan I can't belive there's interactions between him and Barbra when she was kidnapped. This is all I've ever wanted 😭
You would think with all the resources, superhero friends like superman, Green lantern, WW etc. And years of experience, Batman would've put in more effort in looking for Jason. Even if he "saw" him die in a video, batman should've done you know... DETECTIVE WORK
@@genesisspace5331 Why would anyone in their right mind believe video “evidence” from the Joker? Video evidence by itself isn’t enough even for some courts.
"Jason, we can fix this" My man got tortured for two years, he probably doesn't see the sunlight all those damn times, saw his father figure betrayed him and left him for another one. I know that you're trying to fix things up, but he's already broken
Batman didn't leave Jason. Jason took off his tracker and went to hunt down the Joker, despite Batman telling him not to, and yet, surprise surprise, the Joker kidnapped and tormented Jason, and Batman couldn't find him. I wonder what could've prevented that?
"I don't know what clouds your judgement worse: Your guilt? Or your antiquated sense of morality? Bruce I forgive you for not saving me. By why - why on god's earth - is he still alive?!" - Jason Todd, Under the Red Hood
Tim: who’s he calling a baby?! Barbara: Not you. Barbara knows exactly who Joker was talking about. And she wasn’t happy with how Joker was talking about him.
Hold on, so in Batman Tellatale Alfred got captured and the villain was recording him and because of this Batman analyzed the footage and was able to pinpoint where Alfred was being kept. In Arkham Knight Batman stated that Joker sent him the footage, so couldn't batman do the same? He has to be equally capable and even if Robin was "killed" before joker sends him clips he should've at least try to still find him.
Different universes but real talk, Jason's identity as robin could've RUINED Bruce, even if he thought Jason was dead, he should tried to find his body.
Ok but the saddest part of this whole thing is that at 4:58 ... Jason's not wrong. Bruce has sacrificed his children time and time again for the mission, and let those who hurt them go unpunished. At least on pre52 it would be a hard decisiom for him, so he'd find a way to pick both. But now? in new 52? Bruce will and HAS let his children die for the mission, or chosen to hurt them for the mission. He let dick be killed to stop a bomb from launching, instead of finding a way around it. He beat him into submission to send him undercover at spyral. Ntm tim or damian, which is hinestly more dc just hating hating, but like, damian only gets patented when it serves their narrative, for the most part Jess allowed to do as he pleases so long as he follows Bruce's code, and it gives him a LOT of leeway to kinda be an asshole, them when he's REPEATEDLY TRAUNATIZED, he's basically given a hug, an "im so sorry" AND LEFT TO HANDLE IT ON HIS OWN! Jon's disappearance and aging, Alfred's death, GRAYSONS "death" (disappearance to spyral), damian gets almost no parental guidance or support because Batman Is Busy With "The Mission". Not to mention tim, who's largely being ignored rn outside of YJ, but has been stated to be slowly remembering his pre-52 life, and you know, fucking EVERYTHING he went through in the last days of Robin and the ENTIRETY of red robin, the fact that because of the new universe he's lost his best friends AGAIN by virtue of just not being that close with them, and is expected to be all buddy buddy with the rest of the family when he either already does, or soon WILL vividly remember being treated like shit after b "died" various murder attempts before and after said "death", and THE WHOLE "B HAVING STEPH HIRE AN ASSASIN TO KILL HIM" AND EVERYTHING ELSE THE WRITERS HAD GO DOWN BETWEEN HIM AND STEPH. Like jfc n52 and rebirth want us to believe he s back with steph??? Like???? Hun she sent an assasin after him cause a clinically insane Bruce told her to, if tim REMEMBERS that like theyre saying he's gonna, there's NO way he's back with her. (Don't get me wrong steph is a good character but her and tim should NEVER date jfc). And Bruce KNOWS tim is getting his memories back, and is Going Through It and just... let's him be? Doesn't ever talk abt it? Expects him to be fine with damian and steph and Jason? Just, I know I got mad off track, but Bruce *will always* put the mission before his kids these days, even if once upon a time, he wouldn't've. ((Anyway fvck modern batman interpretations I want my highly emotional genius-level intellect tired-dad Bruce back pls))
We're Not Gonna Talk About How Bullshit It Is That He Was Kidnapped And Beaten For *TWO YEARS* And He Was Shot In The Chest But Somehow Is Still Alive?
I just love after you defeat Jason you hear all the goons on the radio talking about how there’s some “assassin” going around and that he’s even more dangerous than bats that’s a reference to red hood who is basically Batman but without the “no kill/no gun” rule
I’ve been saying this since the redhead movie came out. But I believe we need a live action movie with Jensen Ackles plain red hood because he’s too much of an awesome character to be pushed aside.
I agree. Jensen ackles is such a good actor. Especially in the show supernatural. I really loved him when he was in the animated Batman under the red hood movie, and it would be cool if he was in live action.
Hey buddy I'm a huge and die hard fan of Batman & I absolutely love Batman & Jason Todd The 2nd Robin plus these were some pretty cool Jason Todd easter eggs from the Arkham Series that I didn't know about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep up the awesome and outstanding Batman content :)
Kind of a shame that they cut down on using assets for that Barbara scene. In the original Joker had two goons with him that beat the hell out of Gordon while he took pictures of Barbara squirming on the floor.
That probably would’ve been too gruesome even for Arkham game standards Dont the games have a T rating? Having something like that would surely make it an M I know I would have a hard time watching
Jason genuinely wouldn't have died if the fandom had voted the other way and voted for him to live Imagine how differently everything would've ended up if the fandom had just let Batman be able to save Jason
I rlly wish we got to see Jason's story told by Joker AFTER the reveal that is was Jason who was The Arkham Knight. It would've made the reveal alot more shocking and overall mindblowing. But instead we were basically told it was Jason throughout the game which killed the surprise by the time it got to that point. But I do like that the devs obviously had planned this entire series out and for AK, they sprinkled hints towards it throughout the games and story like this
I like to think that Joker in Arkham Knight is a visual manifestation of Batman’s thoughts not just a hallucination. If you look at it like that it puts Batman in a much darker light. There’s things that the Joker says that if you frame it as Batman’s inner thoughts it makes Batman a pretty terrible person.
A question that has been bothering me about this batgirl, why didn't she tackle the Joker when he was at her door, from what we saw she had a few seconds to run, plenty of time for her to attack, she's dealt with people with gun before so it shouldn't be hard for her.
The fact that Jason was orginally wanted to be killed of by the fans of the comics, makes me want a series of what his character was like before the two years with Joker.
Something messed up is when you see Jason getting beaten up when jokers fuming is it won’t let you look away if you look up there’s a tv of the recording same thing if you look down left right and can’t look behind you
Something i do wanna point out that when joker shot Barbara they made that scene a lot lighter than what it actually was cause joker does more than just shot her, it's dark
The scene on the building remind me of the scene on Syphon filter 2 final boss fight when Logan fought against Chance. That's if there are any Syphon filter fans on here to remember.
