I know this sounds stupid, but I think cutting his hair took away something. When he went to a buzz cut, he was no longer as original. Jwill with this haircut was a savage, including his days at Marshall and UF; they didn't see him coming and opposition became spectators.
Yeah it made him standout. Lost that aura when he went with a typical buzz cut. Was nice to see a contrast between J-Will and Stockton/Hornacek. Ordinary looking white dudes, but one with amazing modern flair compared to the old school style.
