We just got our table and cupholders today (Saturday)...and we ordered everything Tueday, so four days for us! I couldn't believe it got here so fast. And we got the the mats on Thursday, so two days for those. Will be going off to Lowe's in a bit to pick up those #8 1-inch flat-head screws and start the assembly. Thanks so much for including the size that worked for you.
Thanks for the review. We just purchased the Jasper Long with a couple other amenities: topper, shelves, cupholders and end slat. This review helped seal the deal. Super excited to get it in and try it out.
Thanks for the detailed review. A few questions about it: which size did you purchase, the regular or the long, and how does it feel if you seat two people side by side on the long edge?
Thanks for watching. We purchased the regular size. Sitting side by side with two is OK. With the topper it feels two side by side has a little more room than with the topper off (using recommended play area). But I definitely wouldn’t say it feels cramped. Perfect size for 4 people (and 2 of course). May start kicking your friends with 6 people though.
Thank you for the review! It was informative. Have you used the toppers to the table yet? If so, do they feel sturdy enough so that the table can be doubled as a dinning room table?
We have used the toppers twice. It did feel sturdy on the top. The table is very sturdy on the whole… but the legs do not give me the best feeling when moved. I will definitely take off the legs if we ever move.
I am looking at a Jasper. Could you please tell me how it shipped??? Fed EX or UPS?? Number of boxes?? Heavy??? Also I heard the cup holders where tough to get in slots?? Thanks for the great review and tips on screws.
I am sorry I am just now seeing this! I think the table came in 3... chairs were 2 to a box. I do not remember how it was shipped... but this is pretty heavy for sure! The cup holders have been no problem for us.
It is beviled but I would not say there is a gasket. If a spill happens the topper will be fine. The toppers interlock with each other which can minimize spillage but you will still have to clean it well before taking the topper off (or disassembling it). The gaps are very small and fairly tight. Long story short, if something spills, it should be fine. But I would not call it a spill proof gasket for the topper itself.
Awesome review! I’ve been considering a board game table and I appreciate you covering the positives and negatives! (And even giving suggestions for alternative screws!) Good stuff! 🪑
Thanks, I appreciate it! It is a luxury, but I think the investment for my wife and I will be well worth it. If you do ever get a table, we want to see the new furniture!
@@boardgamesfortwo It is definitely a luxury but I also think I could justify it with the amount of gaming I do at home/with Hannah! (And I think I would definitely be gaming more with a table I could use to keep games set up inside!) I’ll keep you posted with any future board game furniture for sure! ☺️
