Hi! There is no jasper report version for newest intelliJ IDE, what do you suggest to do, which plugin instead of Jasper or is there a way to use older one?
Thanks a lot. Great video bro. 👍 Can you please make one video for multi page report? It will be of great use for majority of the audience. Thanks in advance
Brother you can hide the side panels so we can see the whole lines of code, it's a bit annoying to be scrolling left and right to read the code. Thank you for the great tutorial btw.
In this video I'm using "spring tool suit" which is just like eclipse. You can use any version of eclipse and just install jasper plugin 1:04. After installing plugin please restart your eclipse
Thank you for your video!!! I have a question. Can we create different excel sheets using jasper report and spring boot? Assume that we have an excel with 2 sheets. Can we use jasper to populate 1 sheet with one query and another sheet with another query? Eventually, we should have 1 excel file with 2 sheets
Nice video! could you please share how to make reports that involve more than 1 entity (or table), for example user entity with another addresses entity, or user entity with bought products entity for example...
Hey, the report is working fine in local server but when I create a jar for the project and deploy the same in server it's giving 500. Any idea what's wrong?
please help me , how to make reporting project for spring boot with dynamodb, also data in the dyanamodb is in json format...............somebody please help me regarding this.
If you have json data you can convert in Java pojo object. If using spring no need to convert it will automatically converts when fetch/save data in nosql db
I think you are bit confuse how to work with nosqldb in spring /spring boot . Please check once a video available , how to work with mongodb and spring boot. It will help you
So, you are keeping you jasper file (jrxml) in your resources folder and then calling it through REST API ? A monolith architecture... what's the point of REST API call at all? You can simply invoke the jrxml file. You need to make a REST api call ONLY if your report is deployed in jasper server/repo. Another point: why are you including the JRXML file at all? Just compile the report, generate the .jasper file, include it under resources folder and call it. Do you want to recompile every time you call it? What am I missing here ?
This video include how to download report/pdf in spring boot . Yes to generate Jasper report rest api not required. This example helps if you have to generate and return pdf from your rest api . and we don't need to recompile we can populate data In compiled .jasper file but here I'm showing example and making changes everytime.sorry I missed to cover how to populate data in .jasper file. Please let know if you have any question 🙂
@@codingboot455 yeah I added the dependency to Pom, but in order for the array to generate for the report, I’m missing the imports from the UserService class, they were collapsed from view during the video when you showed the class. I was wondering what the undisplayed imports were?
You need to install Hindi/Marathi font in your system, after installing you will see the font in font list. Select that font while desing jasper report
