Hi guys, welcome to my first look walkaround of the New Jawa 42 FJ 350. I give you a quick overview of the New upgrades it gets including other details like the New pricing etc.
This one has the potential to become Jawa's highest selling bike! I hope Jawa introduce an option of a turn by turn navigation pod in the future! But, even now an excellent VFM bike! Well done Jawa👏🙂
Dont know why bike makers are opting for that offset meter console it looks odd... should have given a twin pod instrument console. Plus the seat length looks very small needs a spacious seat for pillion rider
Twin pods are for classic retros. Most of Scramblers still have offset or centered single pod complementing light weight design character of scramblers
Bike is awesome... only 2 things need change ... 1) Ignition & Handle lock Position 2) Center stand not necessary change but due to some parking space constrains. 3) Service & Spares network... rest all is good.
Impressive design, quite similar to Ducati scrambler..front and side profile looks awesome.. rear fender still has a classic design, should have been sportier... other than that the only problem with jawa is inexperienced staff in service centres and high service cost.. performance is already much better than RE's
From day 1 Jawa has fulfilled the gap which was left by the RE 350s. I had a classic 350 back in 2015 and it had way too much vibrations. The first time I rode a jawa i was in love. It looked retro but had the mahindra Mojo engine which was sporty enough and the sound was amazing. To me Jawa 350s are all time better than RE 350s.
Jawa 42 2.1 was a good looking bike when it came out. After that it was all hit & miss. Now this is beautiful bike, this one will be a bit with youngsters. I had Jawa 42 2.1, sold it for bullet.
Have to say that the overall fit and finish of Jawa bikes are top notch in comparison to competitions. They look absolutely neat and clean. Great job in achieving such a neat looking bike which sets the benchmark. The engine numbers looks promising as well, 6th gear is absolutely spot on, since I always felt to have it when I use to ride another 350 CC.
The engine oil filter placement in sump guard is going collect hell lot of mud, difficult to clean ( probably only with pressure wash ). Jawa is not for my taste but this one has the best looks in the Jawa fleet. Looks really good.
This is definitely a step forward in terms of a gratitude to the great FJ. Also in terms of quality and quantity Jawa is offering more and better I believe. But what keeps me wondering is what stops them from making @ true to that classic 250cc air cooled engine! They can kill it with such a bike if priced aggressively. Fiat cars did the same blunder by not producing a small and affordable car which they were famous for back in the day.

Very nice design, would have sold my RTR 310 for it. But its 190+ Kgs. thats a total bummer. Brands should learn from Honda how to make lightweight bikes.
I liked the greyish one with spoke, is there an option for tubeless on this color? Jawa is making really good looking motorcycles .. I should say Handsome looking!
Jawas are well made and is in a league of it own. I don't know why it should be compared with RE. They just have to improve reach, spares availability and after sale service.
