Only much, much later after first watching this film did I realize the mayor's suit had little anchors all over it which is an amazing touch.

The actress who played Alex kitner's mother is Lee Fierro. Many of the non major actors in Jaws were locals and she was as well. But she was someone who actually had some acting experience. She taught if I remember correctly at the local children's theater. She fortunately passed away due to covid in 2020. Many people who went and did the sightseeing Jaws locations have said that she would meet up with them and was a wonderful woman. The kid who played her son, ended up owning a restaurant on Martha's vineyard and she went there for lunch, and saw that it said on the menu something about Alex kitner and she ended up reuniting with the actor who Alex and that was the first time they had seen each other since the movie films. Even though they lived on the same island. By all accounts she was a wonderful woman

My favorite horror movie and one of the best films of all time. Defiantly a contender for a Perfect Film due to the story, characters, acting, score, writing, direction and so much more that makes Jaws as popular now as it was back in 1975. This was hilarious to watch. Great video man!

As far as what happened to Ben gardner, many people think that that is his severed head but from a storyline standpoint, that makes no sense. Mayor Vaughn would have to see the tooth in order for him to believe that the shark was responsible? Well if that was the case I think a severed head would have done the trick. So the most realistic explanation is the shark attack the boat and either Ben Gardner had a heart attack and died, or fell during the attack and was knocked unconscious and the water that was in the bottom of the boat, caused him to drown. And then little crabs and small fish would have picked his I out. That's the most logical explanation based on the available evidence.

Here's a theory. The mayor of Amity is actually the grim reaper, Mr. Death himself, and wants the beach open so all the people will die and he can take them to the afterlife. Don't believe me? Go watch The Twilight Zone 1st season episode "One For The Angels" about the street vendor who wants to make one last really great sales pitch before Mr. Death takes him away. Mr. Death is the same guy as the Amity mayor (Murray Hamilton).
