In the spring of 2019, Freedom Scientific introduced the Picture Smart feature into Jaws, allowing users to get descriptions of screen content and photos. Five years later, this feature takes a big step forward with generative AI from Chat GPT and Google Gemini to get vivid and detailed descriptions. Join me on a tour of this exciting update, as I demonstrate getting a description of a screenshot, going through Photos on my computer, and looking at product pictures while shopping on the web. Even though this feature has some glitches as does most things powered by generative AI, I think you will see that this is a major enhancement, allowing access to images like we've never seen before.
