Theres literally SO many ways to get your macros in even on a budget. Not everybody has to eat like a mr.O either. Getting in your proteins and fats and greens is the most important.Whatever it takes.

Great video jay. I’m struggling with my diet. I’m a truck driver I get up at 530 get into work 2 hours drive to my first drop then in and out of my truck delivering carpets and wood flooring. Then have my lunch break at around 1130. Finish around 3 then 2 hour drive back. I’m picking most of the day I do take lunch with me but finding it hard to eat the right things.

He is a big fucker whether he juices or not, for fucks sake the guy could bench 315 pounds the first time he ever attempted the lift, just like Dorian. The top TOP guys, I mean guys who win the olympia multiple times, are genetic 1 in 10 million FREAKS, they are the kind of guys who are huge even if they were in prison being fed crap food and little of it, and NOT training. The 'secret' isn't special diets and training routines, its the genetics god has given you, and that is what truly holds one back or propels one forward once correct training and diet programs are employed.

Because of my work schedule, I have to wake up and train for 1.5 hours. I wish I knew how I should structure my meals/supplements having to train first thing in the morning.

Finish eating 1hr to 1.5 hours before your workout to give your body time to digest it, take vitamins at same time. Take pre workout approx 20mins before workout or as suggested by the dosage.

Eating pattern is exactly the same! Except, less carbs. More fat, less carbs. Old school bodybuilders from the seventies hardly ate carbs, even in the off-season. He finished the video by saying that he would mostly lift weights after his one meal breakfast in the morning. But, didn't get as good of a pump as if he went later in the afternoon after 4th meal of the day

I'm really thin and wiry and find it really hard to put weight on because am always on the go and have fast metabolism.. I find when I cut sugar out and stick to basic meals with no snacks my weight is better.. I became addicted to exercising and weights Everytime I eat.. Any advice welcome

If I don't want to compete 4 meals a day to look good is ok? The 3 main meals breakfast, preworkout meal, postworkout meal and the meal before bed? I am working night shifts 7 hours a day can I have breakfast before going to bed and the preworkout after I wake up after 6 hours of sleep go training and after have the postworkout meal sleep another 2 hours than have the last meal before going to work is it ok?

Right I'm graveyard not lucky to get 5 hours a day so I wake up in the morning and then bust out some high volume workout and then I'll do some bicycling during my job so I get all the aerobic activity I need so this keeps me in top physical shape because not only am I riding a bike all night long wish I get the cardio aerobic benefit but I got the body building benefit before I went to work out so you have the best of both worlds going on so what that does that cut fat very rapidly but I'm building muscle and it's solid I keep high volume and lightweight rather than heavy weights and fewer sets that's the Jay Cutler formula and I prevent injury that way

Bodybuilding is a way of life it's like you know I'm a bodybuilder that's a statement you know and regardless of whether you're competing or not you're still a bodybuilder and whether or not your full-timer or part-time bodybuilder that's not the point the point is that you are a die-hard bodybuilder and you're thinking about it all the time it's Paramount first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning is bodybuilding live eat and drink

Right because you're not 20 going for the Mr Olympia title during that time you needed 7,000 calories like Arnold did when he was winning the Mr Olympia title this is where you're putting as much calories into your system as you can because you're going to full blown all out and energy requirements become insane because we're trying to get huge massive muscles so we can peek out for these contests so right now you're in a more of a retirement stage in your life but you're still working out quite a bit but not the rate that you were when you're getting ready for contest shape

Well being on the graveyard shift it's all hell loose so I decided hell I'm doing better just knocking it a really good workout in the morning right when I wake up even though I haven't got all that sleep I'm just going to pound that out then I'm going to sleep 5 hours prior to my shift okay before it just get some sound sleep just before I I go to work that's what I'm riding the bike again in that church shift then I get off I'm going to continue that thing everyday I just keep on working with the you know the dumbbells and the bet I'm doing it all the exercises trying to get them all in one time and I'm just going to throw them all in I'm doing I'm since I'm working light workouts not heavy my body is going to recuperate and a lot faster rate than if a guy goes in there and he's lifting heavy weight really destroying that muscle he's going to need 48 hours for that body muscle to rebuild but if I'm maintaining that's all I'm doing and adding slowly I'm just doing high volume I'm able to do since it's light days and not heavy days I'm able to work out a higher frequency than the guy doing a heavy heavy days more often so if you will later on I'll be putting in heavier days but if I have to work a lot then I'm not going to do too many heavy days because you're never going to recover you're going to get sick sore throats headaches those things going to set it right away when you're overtraining last thing that's worse than training so overtraining is not a state you want to get into that's the first sign of overtraining is like you got a sore throat audio she run your way over training right now you're going to get cold so you're going to get you're going to get it's like flu-like symptoms you're going to start feeling like crap you're going to start feeling tired and lifeless you're overtraining this is when you got to eat more take a rest take a couple days off until you recover and then go by how you feel you got to go by how you feel but when you're working out all the time you don't go by how you feel you just keep working out all the time on a consistent basis but when you're thinking about overtraining you want to go or not feeling that this ain't right

Right that's what you want to eat and if you look at the 60 meals that on the back of the power protein book and give you the author and everything if you like I mean it doesn't hurt to look at something I'm not telling you to do it but I noticed okay I was riding a bicycle for months lot of cardio nobody building at all and I've seen more carbohydrates and I wasn't I felt still something's lacking big time it's just not working right this is I'm not My overall sports performance is not as high as it could be so I start I just started back on the bodybuilding power protein power the book and going back on resistance training letting bodybuilding be the central and not the aerobics not let's do your bicycle but but the center of your idea is going to be resistance training and it's done fast and it's done in high volume and it's done in the fashion that you're prescribing and this is the quickest way to no injury and to transform your body into muscle in the shortest period of time and that is the goal is within a 6-month period what can you do from a to b straight line

I like to take a couple scoops of protein powder right when I get up I'll make a shake I've noticed that at the martial arts center where all the top athletes are coming out guys that are just ready to fight in the UFC cage I mean you looking at guys that are the last guy on Earth that you want to mess with okay they're looking guys got his shirt off and just come out of there and he doesn't look he isn't that one ounce of fat he is just cut buffed and ready to enter the cage and kick your ass now they'll have a shake you know they'll put some fruit in there some protein powder way and they'll throw some things in there it'll be a 10 to $15 shake and that guy will just down that first thing in the morning

Basically what the shake is a meal replacement for a bodybuilder who's working and on the move and doesn't have time to cook meals I don't think you want to cook meals you're standing in the kitchen over a hot stove trying to prepare meals what you're trying to do is eat nothing fancy simple get to the chick and get to the turkey get your egg whites get your protein requirements for the weight you have right and a certain amount of grams of protein per pound of body weight and you want to get your ratios right we're not cooking we are bodybuilders and we're spending our time in the gym and not in the kitchen we don't care about standing in there and preparing meals if you want to do that become a kitchen cook side order cook for Lion's restaurant or something but you know what nobody nowadays who's working full-time has the time to spend in a kitchen trying to prepare meals just don't have the time

Well you know it's not the money it's really it's about helping people people are really desperate out there and their health is the concerned a lot of people can't afford healthcare people are on their own they have to become their own doctors they're living unlimited income and these education is on the way you can save a lot of people are overweight and they're trying to lose weight because the diabetes 2 is kicking in and they're on the needle and they're in a lot of pain and the last thing they're thinking about is money they're in a desperation attempt to try to figure out how to get their body back into whack because it's out of balance they're insulin levels are through the roof they got diabetes they've got the right leg is swollen the size of a watermelon you know the demons sitting in the pain sitting in the joint pain the you got 2 minutes aches and pains all over your body what you want to do is you want you know especially as we get older we want to be pain free we want to be happy and be able to go to sleep comfortably you know the money is sure it comes it's piling in but that's who cares once you get a certain amount you already have a Lamborghini who cares right you got a house you're doing fine but really it what you're doing is the cause you thinking about how many people millions of people that you're going to help help them to live a better life to get better shape and to feel good and that's the bottom line is that millions of people will subscribe to you because you are helping them with all your sincerity you are doing it because you love bodybuilding and that's the essence if you don't love what you're doing get out of the business

Right that way it later in the day you still you have your life you can focus on family and friends in the world and what's going on in the news otherwise in the morning you're going to be 100% focused on knocking your workout out okay and then you got your job maybe you sell nutritional products whatever you're doing working in the warehouse so you going to do that in the middle of the day so if you got a routine going like that one two three your mind's going to operate on on a biological clock it's going to once you're on that clock and your mindset is set let the temperature in the oven you know what temperature going to cook that turkey you know are you going to keep it in there for an hour and a half it's going to be at this temperature it's like that's the way the human mind works it you put it on a program and the word discipline comes into effect

Well at least get three solid meals in it's a good point but it's hard when you're working all the time bicycle time and you're on the move it's hard to even get three solid meals in I have to eat just constantly trying to get food in there but it's always on the move that's why a lot of it's in liquid form but it's better to eat solid food of course but we don't have time for digestion we're on the move when you're moving it's hard to digest so it's far from idea but we make it happen but just say that our goal is to get to a certain point in a certain time frame and it's going to be far from ideal situations the conditions can be horrible but you are going to make it you know what I mean you're going to do whatever it takes to make it you can't quit you can't say I can't do it you have to say yes I'm going to do this and it's all mine it's all head you can only do what you psychologically think you can do you must convince yourself that it isn't the most important thing in your life right now is bodybuilding and that you have to continue to do that resistance training and stay in top shape the rest of your life it's quality not quantity you want the quality life for your retirement you want the easy life but you want that you want to be in top physical shape the same

Well in the back of this power protein book is about a list of foods that you can make like meals just like 35 40 different types of meals that are more on the protein side unless on the carbohydrate side so that these are the meals that he prescribes for bodybuilders resistance trainers and what you're saying if I showed you some of these or talk about some of these meals the meal plans that you're going to find that a lot of the foods that you're treating right now are going to be part of those meal plans so you're not seeing a radical difference between what you're doing and power protein in the seven doctors but you are make you are doing things that are a little bit different than what the doctors prescribe but overall questions are you more on the protein side or are you more on the carbohydrate side

And that's power protein is the book I was reading lately in the what you're teaching is the opposite of that but I have read another book where I want to top nutritionist who's helped the top tennis players in the world would be okay cut down the protein just stay on a high carbohydrate diet but when you read both of these books when you read all these books you you come to the decisions about what am I going to do

I thought fasted training in the am is the most effective? This advise is very basic for beginners and seems more geared toward bulking, no mention of cardio or fat burning/loss

Well I get the feeling that while I have energy and I wake up in the morning if I don't do it in the morning I'm not going to do it at all this crap about okay I'm going to do it late night workout like before work that that doesn't happen you got to get it out of the way right when you get up you got to get that out of the way so you got to guarantee yourself that you're going to get that work out in every day because you can't miss and workouts is bad that's the worst thing you can do consistency is the key to success in anything in life and if you're in and out like in and out burger you're going to have you're just not going to see the games

Right in the doctors saying that you want to continue to keep a positive nitrogen balance throughout the day and what that means is you got to eat every 2 hours it's better to eat small meals but more meals than it is to eat fewer meals you don't want to eat large meals one sitting if you eat the smaller meals say 7 to 8 meals would be better than eating three large meals if you go several hours without food you will go into a negative nitrogen balance bodybuilders do not want that to happen that's when muscle tissue is getting eaten because it doesn't have enough calories in the body all the time you got to remember your body is is like a idle in a car and it's very fast if you don't have meals in there for 3 hours it's like not having gasoline in the tank so what you're going to do is just going to burn out that car
