I watched a special one about Jay's collection where they talked about his garage being fully staffed with several mechanics and a shop foreman who said everything thing in there has to be ready to drive/ride at anytime, because you never knew when he would walk in and want to drive a particular one. I guess that explains the constant stream of battery tender cable through out the facility. Truly a real car guy👍

First time I’ve ever heard Shmee nervous talking to a guest. Awesome garage tour!!! I could easily sit and watch an 8 hour video of Jay talking and telling stories about all his cars.

If you're a car guy and need some motivation in life, watch this. Jay leno is living the dream. I wonder who he's leaving them to; it would be nice if he arranged for them to be seen by the public as a museum. Thanks, Jay, for showing us.

There are so many celebrities that are like “Yeah I like cars” and have stuff like Lambos, Ferrari’s, Maybachs, those who like the “hyped” cars. And then there’s Jay, a pure car guy that loves all things related to automobiles, and has a car collection that’s probably the biggest in the world and doesn’t toot his horn all the time. Massive respect for him.

What an awesome experience! You could see his enthusiasm about every car and tell that is for the pure love of automobiles and really anything mechanical. A memory to have for life.

Jay is literally such a humble guy. He wears normal clothes all the time. What person with that many cars is that nice to people and wears not super flashy clothes? Only jay. Who has 8k miles on a p1 and fixes it like a Chevy? *only jay* how can you not love him?

Jay Leno. The absolute legend. And his sense of humor is amazing.

Jay was a frequent guest star on the TV show I worked on . He would drive a different car in each time and between him and Tim Allen the star of the show it was like a car show every day. Jay would hang with us and talk cars and tell jokes at lunch . I had met Jay before in the canyons where he would drive by himself and just hang out at the rock store or the lookout at the top of the Snake one of our canyon hot spots . I mentioned to Jay that some of us “ car guys “ would love a tour of the shop and he set us up for the very next morning . He spent about 3 hours with 12 of us and it was incredible . This video covered a good part of the collection but far from all . There is an entire room of steam powered cars for example . You also saw part of his motorcycle collection which is in excess of 160 bikes . The work shop is unbelievable. He can literally make just about anything he needs , cnc machines , laser printers , water cutting tables and an entire machine shop. I think the thing that truly amazes me the most is that Jay not only knows the complete history of everything there but he can start each one . Between the steam powered cars and some of those truly ancient vehicles just remembering the start procedure is a real chore . Jay also comes by our local Sunday cars and coffee events and is very accessible. You might not have two Pennie’s to run together but if your driving a car that catches jay’s eye he will treat you like a long lost brother . Truly a great human being and a car guy’s , CAR GUY .

It was one of the first time for me that I 'heard' Tim being so speechless. I think he was very overwhelmed and enjoyed how much Jay knew about each and every car. Truly an amazing car collection and car collector!
