True story. I lived in DC and went to NYC often, got tkts to see Jay @ Caroline’s and while on the bus to the city I sent him a message on Messenger saying I was heading to the show, wasn’t expecting him to reply but he did and invited me to come backstage after the show and say hi. What a gem and what a night!!!!

What's great about Jimmy Fallon is it's so sincere and off the cuff. None of this was planned or practiced at all. Not one bit. Not at all. Nope, indeed all of this is just as impromptu and carefree as it is presented. All of this is completely spur of the moment. The bits, the cards prompting the bits, all of it 100% made up on the spot. There are no rehearsals, no discussions, no-sir, it is, just as Jimmy presents it: 100% authentic, improvised, and without any practice or staging whatsoever. God bless Jimmy and his dedication to transparent authentic live comedy.

I still remember in the height of the Pandemic Jay was living in La and went out for a Jog and cops surrounded him demanding he put his hands up. Apparently they thought he was someone else? Such bullshit, but I never forgot thinking this talented man went for a jog and nearly got shot from the police just for jogging.
