DMX and Tupac lived in a different space. It was all passion and heart from them. You can rap faster or use bigger words than them, but you will not match that emotion. I can't think of many entertainers that people feel more strongly about.
I’ve seen Jigga live twice , he’s absolutely amazing , his catalogue is different & technically skill wise I’d give him the nod over the dark man but I’ve also seen x live back in “99” & his style has never been matched or duplicated… the energy, showmanship which both have & his conviction as a spitta it plays on your emotions. That dark & hell is hot intro was spot on how Jay said it & by the end of his set as a pastors son the prayer made me well up without me being aware… X was just … different.. easily in my top 5 as well as Jay.. thanks to NC A & T state university I received a gr8 education & chance to see two of the genres goats as a result of the Greatest Homecoming On Earth !
Lmfao the funniest part is you know Jay was nervous to go on after DMX fr, but I can assure you he went on and had that arena jumping just as much as it was before…
Buddy what you smoking!? I’m X all day, but what you’re saying just isn’t true if we’re talking skill as in line for line and word play. X style is more simple but highly energetic and passionate.
@@JVH3 I wasn't too young cuz my friends that went was the same age, my mom didn't want me to go, she thought that mess would get to roudy and I could get hurt.
You on drugs? Jay helped out quite a few people. Tried to get Wayne out his contract and even paid his couple mil in taxes, helped 21 Savage not get deported and quite a few others. You ignorant.
The person that got in the way of DMXs career gives him props? This is why I hate how people act after you die. The living change the narratives after you can't defend yourself.
@@andremiller1566 my point when over your head. Imagine the joker talking about batman after he dies as if they were friends when joker fucked up batmans life and batman can't confront joker on all the fuck shit joker did to him. Look at all the old DMX interviews on what Jay z did after he started running defjam.
@@FlaVaChAsA DMX used to rap as the devil/Damien. I don't necessarily trust everything he says. If his shit was tight he wouldn't have died broke, that's a man not on his shit. Meanwhile all old interviews or footage of Jay talking about X have been nice things consistently. He never hated. This is one sided claim from an artist whose record sales had already declined.
Yes millennials existed in the perfect time in modern history, at least in the US. Sometimes I struggle with getting older but then I remember that I’m alive and was born at the perfect time to experience truly fun, free and authentic era in history.
I’ve been to a show that opened the same way jay describes this. The music starts and the entire crowd is moving like your drowning in an ocean, then the second the artists stepped out I literally blacked out had my girl ripped out my arms and adult human bodies landing on my head every 5 seconds. Craziest show of my life. Meanwhile, I was thinking I was at the lamest sh*t ever! I was in shape, tough 21 year old dr*g dealer at WARPED TOUR with a bunch of 16 year olds. The band was bring me the horizon. I gained a lot of respect for them after that
Some fake ass love. Dmx said he had to make 3 albums to complete a contract, Jay z became president of rockafella and is the reason dmx couldn't complete his contract. There's a video of dmx saying so himself. "How you record a track, finish it--" I think he said he finished the video or that he was supposed to finish the video, but Jay z was on vacation and when he came back he retired. Dmx says "oh, I see. You eliminating the competition". Now dmx is dead and Jay z is "showing love".
@@chyleenlopez5108you mean president of def jam and DMX owed def jam a whole lot of money and jay z made sure he left debt less and money in his pocket
I do not like to listen to puppets. He is as shady to those that thought he was their friend. DMX saw him as a friend but saw his true colors later when he realized he can’t compete with X and the love he had with the people. J tried to get in the middle of that connection. Human consciousness is rising and Jay will be exposed as part of the corrupted people in the world. Jay will always be one of the most accomplished is business rapper but he will never have the true love of the people like Nas, Big, Pac…why???because they always spoke from the heart and were genuine. J is too shady. As great as his career as a rapper was…he NEVER was the tsunami that 50, Em and others were when they broke out. When J dropped his projects others STILL ate. When 50 came out NO ONE ate for 5 years. I know I sound like a hater but I am not. I still listen and like J’s music but that does not stop me from speaking facts.
Competition is what i got from the jay and dmx relationship....nothin serious like people try an make it....X wanted to go against jay in the versus and jay cleared a 12 million dollar debt X had with def jam before he died but people swear they didn't mess with each other... competition folks
..funny how DMX had that interview talking bout this plane trip and the 10 trucks waiting at the airport and how he "let him live" - thats the only reason ,,
JayZ can talk nice about X all he wants now, but ultimately he added to the bullshit X went through with that shit he pulled at Ded Jam. Betrayal at its finest
Jay Z didn't lie about being a better rapper than X. Not to say X was a bad rapper. They're both in my top 5. If you heard him well, he said X gave him competition like no other. So that's love and flowers for the dog. Nas Jay Jadakiss Dmx Scarface
LeBron is giving me the vibe I would have if Jayz is telling me a story on my tv show about DMX from the 90s talking about 80s hip hop and shit. It would be like going into my fucking 9th grade iPod lol
As a jayz fan this really not a story to tell... we all knew this already.. and if you watched the "backstage" tour on RU-vid or prime u will see this whole story he said was on the video.. so basically he telling a story we all saw 20yrs ago
