Wow! "Is not about money". So people outhere struggling going back & forth to work, two jobs! Barely able to get by, taking the bus and the train, eating peanut butter & Jelly sandwiches, choosing over paying gas bill or paying for food. Is not about money. This man is the exact reason President Trump was elected, this guy is so out of touch with reality its absolutely crazy.
I feel like you've completely missed the point - go watch Jay-z's Story of OJ video, you might get what he's saying; Respect as a black man/woman precedes fiscal value because it's a more fundemental right. If all blacks were employed would you say that it was okay for the damning of them as people because "they're doing okay"?
Van just asked Jay Z what is it about Blue Ivy that he loved her so much he wanted to do this song and video for her?? It's his fucking daughter Van. That's why. She's not a woman he just met. Dumb question.
Imagine Jay-Z being born with a small 200 million dollar loan with his work ethic. This is the beginning of at least one black legacy that came from nothing.
Yea but he elevates alister crowley more than he cares about black suffering he named his clothing line after a decrepit old Jewish man rocawear these comments coming from a white man non jewish comparison to me white guy and Jay z normal black Americans u have more in common with me let's be honest jussie smollet if he would have been black non celebrity they would theew his ass under the jail if it was white guy they woulda broke his bank account and locked him up for a few months yes racism exists but we are starting to see the rich can do what ever they want with no repercussions this man tried to make black and white hate each other even more and it was fake staged hes a millionaire and he was trying to show seeds of discourse between black America and white America and Michelle Obama top aide gets him off black men in Chicago have been locked up for 8 to 10 years for less than what smollett did to the point Jay z is running defense for CNN and Zionists media outlets he is helping stoke the flames of racism and further the divide between your people and my people Hollywood has no voice in normal people's lives because they are not normal hard working people like you and me from white America to black America we dont hate you like the TV and Democrats say we are trying to just get by like you he said it's not about money funny comments like that always come from people who have lots and dont need it but he is endorsing and pushing liberal Democrats tune out the bullshit and think for yourself
Actually getting opinions from "Rappers" or really any icon that people, and especially young people look up to is extremely important. In a lot of instances people are looking at figures like JayZ to speak for them on issues that they feel they might not have a voice in. I forget who said this but it went along the lines of "A rapper (or artist) can make more of an impact with one song, as I can with hundreds of speeches." Also a side note JayZ is every bit a businessman, as he is a rapper. That would've been like saying you don't want to hear Donald Trumps opinion before he was a presidential candidate.
Technically he is a politician, he is being paid for his political opinion which makes him by definition a professional and the definition of a politician is anyone who is professionally involved in politics .... how do you think the Cheeto won? He's got about the same amount of experience lol
He's been using it before he made money. Using the N word as a black person possesses a completely different intention as opposed to a white person using it.
But he’s black, therefore he could call literally anybody the N-word. If he called an African-American the N-word they wouldn’t be offended, he’s black. If he called a white person the N-word, they also wouldn’t be offended. Also, Hov has always been a businessman, even before rap. Although it was drug related business, it’s still business. He never made money from saying the N-word
As a loyal fan of Jay-Z I can tell you that his music has motivated me to build generational wealth and create opportunities for those around me. But hey, to each his own.
I cant believe ppl can say something Ive seen this dude in the mix on his hustle pushin stuff in the street in 94 this man def has changed his life he has a billion $ family hes not dumb
Let's give Jay Z some credit for overcoming his past and for spreading a positive message that we're all human beings ( including Trump ) with things we learn to overcome. Not all do. However. It must be easy to say it's not about money when your loaded. Yet I get the spirit of it.
Jay-Z's album Reasonable Doubt gave me motivation to get some money. Donald Trump's economic policies gave me an economic environment to get some money.
People are acting like just because his main claim to fame is being a rapper he can’t have any insight, or opinions. News flash the president you blindly worship is a reality tv star. The funniest part is that rapper is more articulate than your president.
Now, before I research who this person (Alister) is can you provide me the link where Jay-Z admitted this or provide the time in this video where he does so?
DarkiieTube Online I see nothing about wrong with the question. I think it was a ice breaker to show he is not just this rich person and that he is Daddy aka Human.
Erika Collisson for the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing 🤬 and lying which they speak Psalm 59:12
neth I'd say no, trying to trigger trump supporters mainly just makes them look Normie as fuck, (who's not doing that?) but it's also a bad business strategy imo, now instead of staying neutral and being a good news source for both political sides, they're losing allot of viewers on the right
neth I feel like it got them publicity at first, when they where still huge and didn't need it, now it's just old. They need to go to the suicide forest and film a dead body, that would be "good" publicity.
jesus CNN gave Van Jones a show!!!!?????? The lightweight of all lightweights. CNN must be desperate or losing their marbles. VJ starts talking like he from the ghetto etc...while JZ corrects his own grammar. It is too absurd.
Kool would you take money from someone that treat you like shit every single day, someone who call you Stupid, Ignorant, someone who says you not smart enough to do or be anything in life. Yea you probably will.
Its sad that the man speaking (Jay z) is not a racist or speaking anything negative, but some people commenting are. wth. Thats our problem. we should have all took a positive lesson from his words. One day.smh
Being pro black or pro white is not racism. you should love your own, but not at the expense or degredation of another race. I love being black, but not because im not white. simply because its who i am. none of us get to choose.
CNN: "Here Van, here's a show where you can call the president a racist. Make sure to invite others who only agree with you. Also, never invite Jordan Peterson."
Here we go. How about, "Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are little short guys that wear yarmulkes every day."
Alexander Bergman Yes. Here we go. Constantly having to correct leftists who need to believe everyone they don't like is a racist. Despite having zero proof of it. Again please provide the statement that is not an allegation from a disgruntled employee with zero backing from any other source. Come on, try again. I'll wait.
All I can say is unemployment in the African America community is the lowest it’s been in years. Even Obama didn’t have those numbers. Isn’t it about us poor folks regardless of color having jobs and the ability to get ahead. Some of us are struggling for real. My Aging Mother’s check went up $40 a week. To y’all that don’t seem like a lot but to us struggling people it is a lot.
It must be very easy for a billionaire to say that money doesn't matter. This just proves Jay-Z is out of touch with those struggling to make ends meet. As of now, Trump still has my vote.
Jay Z grew up in the projects. Gained fame in his late 20s which is about 10 years later than most artists. He's not an example of an "out of touch" celeb.
Hov man. Gotta give it to him. Whether Democrat or Republican, this man playing the game. Acts like a Dem, but works like a Rep, and still carries the street aura just Incase you try to check. More power to him. Every man for himself and his family, no matter if it sounds selfish, it’s the damn truth.
It's probably set to a 4 to 1 ratio. For every 4 dislikes, only 1 is actually registered as a dislike. For this video and the content presented, it's not possible for the likes to be higher than the dislikes unless manipulation was involved.
Great interview. Love that Blue Ivy is filled with love and compassion. May she grow up-ward in love, compassion, empathy, philanthropy. Great job J and Bae~
Jay Z : money dosent make you happy. Thats very eazy for him to say. What a fool, lost contact with reality. The presidents job is not too make you happy, thats your own job.
@awaisis And you're quick about making assumptions and race baiting. If you think I'm a Trump supporter you're faaaaar from the truth, buddy. No doubt he's even more out of touch with the common man. What I'm pointing out is that rich millionaires like JayZ come off as arrogant when say crap like that while I and many others are pretty much holding on to what jobs we have trying to feed a family.
So a man cannot have money and touch into other emotions? I don't understand why you have to focus on what he has in his pocket. What shows he's arrogant?
Snooty Fox No, because of ignorance like yours. Just the fact you chose to respond with a comment with such hate. What I said has nothing to do with Jay’s comments. You are a loser. You’re the problem.
Snooty Fox "You're a bitch". YOU'RE - as in YOU ARE. Matthew Diacono didn't say he was ashamed to be white because a "fucken rapper" thinks he knows politics. He's referring to the idiotic people in the comments spewing racist, ignorant trash.
Snooty Fox mate your country has Donald Trump as president which is a joke in itself, so comparing the 2 is just ridiculous, Jay Z would probably do a better job
That's what to be expected when a black man gives his un-biased opinion to the world on a platform like CNN. People came here with all the intent of hating what he said before listening to what he's saying. The man is spot on and most of these negative comments are either paid for or just racist trolls going at the "negro" (yeah you're racist, own it and embrace it with your khaki's and tiki torches). Let them hate while he does great things for our country and cultures. BTW, any angry trolls please detail the economic policies the Trump administration has implemented in the government to lower the unemployment rate for ANYONE let alone the black community......I'll wait........If it's a one sentence answer you're already wrong lol.
Agreed, they would rather he be on here disrespecting black women and talking about how good it is to sell drugs. Poor lost black and whites. You people are the real issue, most people wear diapers when they were young, doesn't mean they still do. People grow up and change for the better.
people who have a different opinion then you are not "Racist" calling somebody a racist because they think different then you makes you a fascist piece of shit. Your welcome
Much respect to Jay-Z we need more Black Billionaire talk. More keys to black wealth. Thats the only way the system will respect us. Thats the only way we will be free.
The trolls really came out for this post... so proud of Sean “Jay-Z” Comb’a growth!! He’s a great example of someone that has learned from his younger years and is continuing to get better. Too many of these commentators can’t deal with that. Very sad. Keep showing young men how to be MEN, Jay-Z.
Yea keep voting for that slave master Demerats party.. last person a young man should take advice from is some ex crack dealing thug! Who raps about murder, bitches and hoes. Gang life, Like are you that fucking stupid. Really, shown young men what to be what a fucking douche... guess the banana don’t fall far from the tree does it. You gotta be trolling. Dumbest comment ever..
Coming from a Brit, CNN thinking this interview is amazing and how much of a role model the guy is right? Convicted drug dealer, unfaithful husband, raps about violence and how cool the 'gangsta life is when it suits him and soo wealthy he is not even in the same universe as America's poorest communities. If an outsider can see this surely Americans can. This guy's political opinion should hold zero weight and respect
Oliver Phippen Oh! I wasn't aware that you've visited Africa or Haiti. I'm pretty sure you haven't and more than likely just seen footage of those countries on fox news. Most of South America is considered 3rd world countries according to the US. But for some reason you chose to single out Africa and Haiti. There is some underlined issues that you oviously have that i don't care to address. More than likely you're a racist or have some serious self hate issues. But in the immortal words of Jay Z "What you eat don't make me shit"!
I believe that we are a great Point time in our country. racism will be diffused and only people with money can openly say that money can't Supply happiness.
Happiness is intrinsic he is addressing the fact that happiness and joy come from within. No external force can make you happy. You choose it because you want to be the light not just take about it. Anger is a tool to be used when one comes along and tried to take your happiness. You respond with anger because it does not feel good. I understand why African ppl feel angry. They have had so much taken from them. THAT IS THE STRUGGLE. Jz is a man unlike most of these ppl pretending. Keep preaching the word. You are more godly the. Most pastors and more patriotic then most Americans. Love to JZ❤️
I get it, that most of the World hates Trump, but when the host on this show said "1 thing thats positive about Trump, is that Black unemployment is at an all time low" And he asked Jay if he saw that as a good thing.... The fact that Jay Z said "No, because money doesn't mean everything." Is just so fucking ridiculous. Easy for him to say, considering he's got 100's of Millions of dollars up the ass. How he reacted to that question, really proved to me that he's a Democrat Puppet. It would have been different if he said "That's definitely a positive thing. But he needs to work on how he treats people as well."... If he at least admitted that Black unemployment rates going down, was a good thing, then that would have been a respectable answer. But this just goes to show, that Jay Z doesn't give a fuck about people that are struggling. He only cares about money at the end of the day.
Ryanjk ID I never said that I would be happy without money. I work hard as a nurse to give my kids what they have. My kids wouldn't be happy if we were homeless. They would not be able to play their video games and other things they like doing that involves electricity and having a home. We all like bathing daily and having clean clothes. So no I won't be donating. If I donate my money it will be to the animal defense league or St Judes. You wish all white people would be homeless, but your wish will never come true.
Geez y'all...Jay Z said at the end of the day it's not about money it's about being happy. But he's a damn liar because he would never go without his money, he loves his money, that's why he made his money. There's nothing wrong with having money. But he would not trade places with them because he would not be happy with nothing. I'm sure he donates something to some people somewhere during the year, I don't know. And yes I have donated to Haiti, not a lot but a little when they were having the fundraisers at the HEB grocery stores in Texas. They asked people if they would like to donate $1 to $5, I would donate a couple of dollars each time while they were doing that. I have my family to take care of I'm not rich like Jay-Z who could really help them. But for him to say it's about happiness is laughable because he has millions and he loves his money.
@@kingthrash9277 is the town idiot here. He thinks Trump doesn't have momey?? What a fuckin dummass...try reading a fuckin book or something if u can even read
Trump is destroying working class with his actions. The stock market shitting on working class people's 401k. He is a shady businessman that is not afraid to let a business tank like his is doing with America socially and financially. Insulting his own citizens and immigrants which is wife is one. While he is golfing or tweeting like a 16 year old spewing hatred like a horse with diarrhea. He too old for that shit. We need new fresh ideas in Washington not no old man with General Lee's soul resurrected in him. He don't represent the actual grassroots movement of working class citizens in this country. He never broke a sweat at a 9 to 5 or a 12 hr shift a day in his life, so how in the hell can you relate to us. Any of these politicians they are all con artists. They are stock piling assets while the nation's debt is rising and our children and future generations will have to pay the price.
TruthNinja thanks to Obama it takes about 2 years for a policy to take place and dummy 45 hasn't been there long enough I hate when people speak without knowing facts.
Richard Soto Over a year now. Bet you have trouble giving credit for any good he has done. Why? Because he’s not a “dummy”. Against the odds he won, and fake stream media told you Hillary was going to win. You don’t know because you are being misled.
All i see is who cares what a rapper thinks...that rapper is a businessman a father and a American citizen. He is using his platform the way he wants too. To futher a conversation and Van Jones has a good idea for this show to have different perspecives. Trump is a reality tv actor and business man. He is also from the entertainment industry. Obviously for our society influencial people of any kind id taken seriously. This is probably lost on all these trolls and alt right sheople.
“Using his platform to further a conversation”, that’s weird I didn’t hear him give credit to the policies that have led to the an all time low in black unemployment, or an all time high in black home ownership. It sounds like he’s using his “platform” to stay relevant and spew his uninformed opinion on Trump. The black community remains slaves on the democratic plantation because of bought and paid for shills like Jay Z, who for some reason they look up to.
Louis Alicea btw trump never made any policies neither Obama, other economic factors contributed to this (that trump made) and if there was any policies that were implemented by obama i would love to hear it!
Courtney Murphy because it is beneficial now a days to be of color. There is no longer a benefit to being white. In today's society you are looked down upon for being white and forbidden to defend white people or you are labeled a racist
