One thing i do like about league jayce's lore is the color story- just like how viktor teaches the kid to stand up against his bullies by offering him help, the kid in jayce's humbles him real good by throwing back his hypocrisy at him. Though I do agree Arcane's Jayce is a much more interesting character

The Lux / Jinx thing came from Star Guardian first, since they're childhood bffs / Jinx became a guardian for Lux's sake / Jinx is jealous & protective of Lux / the Burning Bright vid had a lot of shall we say implied tension. Shipping them in main canon Runeterra mostly comes from the Wild Rift trailer ( Jinx kidnaps bored Lux for zany adventures! ) and some of the story parallels between modern Lux and Arcane Jinx ('young woman wrestles with a side of herself she can't control, accidentally causes a disaster that costs lives and strains a relationship with a protective older sibling, trusts a manipulative older man with revolutionary ideals, and indirectly triggers a violent uprising against corrupt authority') It's a crack ship but it can be a lot of fun to fanfic about. Hope that makes sense!

Jayce has a special place in my heart, he was the newest when I started playing, and just a few days in Zyra was teased. I never mained either of them, but they'll always be the champs closest to when I started

It would be funny if every time Xin Zhao appeared in any piece of lore or media he would be DRASTICALLY older or younger. Like he appears in a comic and in some panels he is like 12 and in the next one he is 56 but in another story he is in his 30s and we never get an explanation about it.

Not exactly ace, but yeah shipping has always been to me: "Neat. But please don't shove it in my face." Like for Sett for instance who I play, I don't mind people ship him with Aph, and even seems to be canon in ATLEAST some alt. timelines, but it gets annoying when that's ALL people talk about the character. In that time Nidalee's R was like any other one, reach lvl 6 to active it (yeah, to use cat form you wait for lvl 6, that's why Nidalee's popular build was AD). Like 1 year after Elise was released Rito change Nidalee's R to work like Jayce and Elise R.

If Im not mistaking viktors story tells the same thing through his pov and it is much better than jayce pov if Im being completely honest.

Jayce to me is one of those really cool high skill cap champs that I could never play in ranked, but is really fun to play in norms. The balance between his super long range poke into his more bruisery, assassiny hammer form is very fun, and I don’t think he falls into the same trap as the other two shapeshifters who are both very much jungle assassins.

I honestly love Jayce because of pro play. Seeing Knight, Xiaohu, TheShy, Smeb, and now most iconically Zeus play this champion at the highest level is honestly just awe inspiring. High level Jayce players are such a joy to watch because he is such a mechanically difficult champion, that still has a lot to offer if you can maximize him. I honestly wouldn’t consider him a ranged bully top like Quinn, but more of an ad caster bruiser/assassin hybrid. Just an awesome champion that allows talented players to showcase their skills so fluently.

Great vid but jayce was pretty good in pro play all of last year. Some love shown in LCK this split as well. The new buff should push him into more regions soon.

When I think of Jayce skins I think if Zenith games, as a skin with a splash art doing way more to sell the skin then anything the skin is doing.

Jayce in my opinion is probably the second best written character because- as weird as it sounds- he's literally an average, albeit smart, white guy. Everything that happens and develops for Jayce is *exactly* how someone in his shoes would react. Especially being short-sighted in what he says.

The thing about Lux and Jinx is that both are outcasts within their respective societies. They also had 'canon' love interests that never came to be, Silas for Lux and Ekko for Jinx. Jinx would remind Lux of Silas, a criminal that she comes to empathize with and wants to protect. Lux would remind Jinx of Ekko, a savior that wants to better the world. For both of them it feels like a second chance to try again, but I like the angst potential of them falling off and on again.

Lux and Jinx comes from SG skins and it kindeof bled to the mein universe.

'if they're your comfort characters you can ship them, do whatever you want as long as it's not gross' no, do it if it's gross too. Shipping and crackpairing is supposed to be fun. Sometimes being gross or weird is the entire point of what makes it fun.

The thing about shipping characters, in my opinion at least is that it's gets annoying when I see it everywhere. I also just dislike how people get so hung up on fictional characters in a game. That is just due to how I am as a person and how I view other people

I still remember when Jauce was released. It was rather hated by the community. He was 100th champion released, which was a momeuntous ocasion so hsi reveal disapoitned a bunch of folks. And was obvious the champion's inspiration with the success of the Avengers. Jayce's lore at release pissed off a lot of people that cared about the lore, specially Viktor's lore which was well liekd by the community. SO from the start Jayce was never a popualr champion.

agree with you 100% about Jayce in Arcane. He's probably my least favorite main character of Arcane, but that only means he'd be my favorite character on any other show.
