@@OGNYTOWLno their not lol. They don’t shit would cost you guys like 4 first rounders and a couple seconds raiders ain’t doing it lol. Hell be a patriot for the new era and a new black head coach. Along with 3 players openly saying they want him
Just want to correct, this was at home for LSU (not hostile environment). But I like Jayden Daniels as the best QB prospect. He got better each year and that shows he’s working and studying off the field. This will transcend to the next level
Chase Daniel you are gold for real football people and not these avid fans who listen to ESPN reporters. Glad you left the NFL network and you’re going your own path!
@@scottburns9648 no way his playing weight is 220lbs, he was 210 at his pro day and they plugged him up so much he couldn't run, use your eyes, he's scrawny
Great content Chase. Subscribing was a no brainer. I really enjoyed the film breakdown. One other thing that I noticed about Jayden is that when the pocket starts to break down and he scrambles, he runs. He doesn’t scramble to give himself time to throw, he runs every time. I think I’ve seen him throw on the run once. Even though when he runs he picks up yards most every time. I fear he’s going to get banged up if he doesn’t learn to throw the ball in the NFL. I’m hoping that he can be coached into feeling where the pocket is breaking down around him while keeping his eyes locked downfield looking for the open receiver. HTTC!!!
I hope washington doesn't do something dumb and reach for Maye. Just draft the obvious better QB in daniels. If you think he has to gain weight let him sit out a year on a nutrition plan. If he is you future its no need to rush him.
Solid breakdown! Always liked his game in college hopefully he’ll do the same if not better in the nfl if he goes to the right team like Washington …w/new OC (Kingsbury)helping w/his development!🤙🏾
The long run down the left side...that sure looks like 4.4 speed. On his overthrow down the right sideline, he just needed to tilt his head slightly to elevate the ball. He did do that on a similar ball down the left sideline. It's the difference between a baseball infield throw and an outfield throw. Great analysis of Daniels' ability to hit the soft spots on hitches. He would have tons of fun throwing to Jordan Addison and Jefferson.
😂 Yoooo. This is my first time knowing that you have a show. I respected your game in Washington bro. I loved playing with you in madden. You had enough for me to make my team look like we belong at the top
@ool3pts No, he admittedly didn't know how to slide. Robert didn't take some of the shots in college that Daniels has taken. There is no way his running style is sustainable in the NFL. It's one of the knocks on Daniels, he takes some unnecessary hard shots.
Chase, we were at this game, it was probably my 5th or 6th game watching Jayden play in person. He is SO FAST bro! It wont happen but I just wish he could back up Carr for a year or 2 and then take over in New Orleans. #Geaux
Great breakdown Chase! As a QB prospect there is nothing this kid can’t do! Both Poles and Peters are living a dream as GM’s. I prefer Daniels over Williams myself. Commanders can’t miss.
Chicago trade down 1 or even 2 times to number 3 pick up a ton of draft capital, select Jayden Daniels at 3, then when pick 9 comes up if Nabers is not still on the board trade down from number 9 and pick up more draft capital, and select Brain Thomas in the teens.
I’ve been on the Caleb Williams train for a long time, but this analysis of Daniels make me wish, your suggestion would come true. And if you add the outcome of Fields trade into the mix … wooo … this could be phenomenal for the Bears.
Hey Chase !! Watched you play for our Bears. I didn't want you to get moved, but its a business. I absolutely LOVE Jayden Daniels !! I would love to have him in Chicago besides #13 Caleb Williams. Jayden Daniels is more Pro-Worthy ready and keeps eyes forward and able to turn on the "athletic" ability to extend the plays when needed. Much better option IMO. He does, need some "release" work and foot placement in his 2-3 step drops. Over all though, much better fit for New Bears regime and style of play. BEAR DOWN !!!
If I’m the Bears I’m selling the idea that Caleb Williams is our pick, but then I’m drafting Daniels absolutely no doubt, I think he’s the better all around quarterback, he’s faster, his arm talent is just as good if not better because his accuracy is more important.is he perfect? Of course not but I think he has everything you need to become an NFL quarterback out of very high-level.
Kyren Lacy number 2 on LSU was probably LSU’s best route runner but he had a ton of drops. Watch out for him next season, if he gets better at catching the ball. He’ll be the next great receiver on the long list of great LSU receivers.
As a Commanders fan if I'm picking between him and Maye its him all day. HOWEVER(All CAPS for a REASON. Its a BIG HOWEVER) I have RG3 2.0 PTSD watching him run. RG3 ended his career because of stupidity and not learning to get down. If Daniels doesn't learn that fast he wont survive his rookie contract(RG3 2.0). I don't care what players say. NFL Defenses are 100% head hunting running QBs like Lamar. You have to be able to avoid hits at all cost or you'll be heading home early.
Thanks So Much for the reply !! I just like play action under Center We watched Sam Howell in Shot Gun with 4th and one and play action did not work..@@OldSchool3pts
Many of the sports talk shows in DC appear to want Maye, I NEED Daniels!!! Watching this cut up and Kurt Warner’s it’s clear to see Daniels is pro ready. The knocks are 1.He’s to small 2. He doesn’t throw over the middle 3. His completion percentage is inflated due to screens. Well I’m not concerned about his weight. If smaller QB’s survived hell do fine. He’s taken big hits and only been taken out of a game once. He’s a great middle of the field thrower, he reads the defense well and processes faster than Williams or Maye. In this and the Alabama game Daniels made some good reads and throws over the middle and LSU runs a lot of NFL concepts. And I don’t see many screens, he does miss like every QB does but it seems that when he does they comeback to it and he self corrects and gets the throw. He’s the guy I need in DC
It’s funny how dominant he is in the SEC and yet there’s these old ass white dudes that are stuck on Drake Maye the 15th ranked college qb who had 20+sacks in the ACC and think he should be drafted over Daniels, there are stretches in games where Maye forgets how to play, I also saw a lot of spectacular catches from drake’s highlights that are all receivers on poorly thrown balls yet he has this strong arm. When evaluating these college prospects you have to go with film 1st then what’s on paper and then you can have some emotional tie or instinct, but the guys who think Maye is better absolutely go to emotional thoughts first because the first thing they say is large frame, and strong arm,if it looks like a bust smells like a bust it’s probably Mitch Trubiskey again…..now I know he’s not as risky as Trubiskey but he’s not as solid as media hype is making him out, I feel like he’s more in line with the other quarterbacks . Bo Nix, Penix, JJ Mcarthey all looked better and playeyed in better conferences, Drake had a really good year last year these other boys been solid for more than 1 year, and Daniels had 2 really good years and elevated when it was time to grind, sry but the same thing happened to Sam Howell and he went from 1st round prospect to 5th round pick the next year and I think Sam is a baller but Drake is on about the same level of Sam you don’t draft him again at #2 overall, and nobody seems to mention that Williams and Daniels are about the same weight with Daniels being 3 inches taller.
Drake Maye is not a top 3 quarterback, I watched his play against Clemson and he was just awful in that game, I was surprise at how terrible his play was against Clemson, also watched his play against Georgia Tech and again he had a very poor game, he threw interceptions and played like he couldn't read defenses. I hope the Commanders do not pick him at 2, because he is worse that Sam Howell, either Caleb or Jayden should be their selection.
@@dokedoker3340If you're talking about projection, then look no further than Mitchell Trubisky. Then look who Chicago passed over to pick him. I'll take your response off the air.
@@dokedoker3340 6'4 210 v 6'4 230 is just 20lbs. yall talk like JD5 is 5'10 170 lbs. Hes the no smaller than a lot of QBs like TB12. Mos injuries occur in the pocket anyway so him running has nada to do with it. Ask Alex Smith or Joe Theisman
I really hope the 49ers is looking at this and who has the highest quality quarterback Brock is good but could he do what Jayden does on the field plus he is tall Brock had so many top passes last year
Great analysis. How many games did he miss due to those hard hits? All men aren't created equally. NBA's Larry "grandma ma" Johnson was much bigger than iron man AC Green yet Green never missed a game in a 9 year stretch while Grandma ma only had a 2 year injury free stretch in 10 years. Look forward to having another Daniel "s" wearing the burgundy and gold!
LSU o-line was almost perfect…. He’s not gonna have that with my commanders him or drake maye, so being able run is essential in our division….. unless our o-line goes from worst to first in one off season, a stranded pocket quarterback will get killed
Skinz fan checking in. Full disclosure, I haven't watched the video yet but I think Jayden is the perfect prospect except for one thing and I haven't heard any RU-vid scout bring it up(maybe chase will and I'll be pleasantly surprised) but; His throws, while not wobblers, the ball seems very slow through the air. Slow spiral and not overly fast to target. I'm not sure what effect, if any, this will have at the NFL level but it scares me. I would love to hear chases opinion on it. I will edit and delete this comment if he speaks to it in the video. Cheers y'all
Is there any examples of guys that took too many hits in college and then learned to slide quickly once in the NFL? Seems like a trait that can't be coached. Lamar and Mahomes never take hits. Cam, Josh Allen, and Levis play like full backs
Along as we don’t trade down and come out the draft with DM or JD we will b just fine!!!! JD just needs to put on 15-20lbs of muscle and that would help him tremendously!!!!! No trading down period
*This* is who I want either the Giants or Pats to draft with a preference for NY. Both those teams have no receivers who can get open deep, but from what you're showing he already has the ability to read defenses & call audibles. Hmm: Daboll may _not like_ that. But Cliff Kingsbury is _SO_ unimaginative. Still, the Commanders have the best receivers of all the teams high in the draft. Too bad they fired Bienemy.
I actually prefer Jaden Daniels over Caleb Williams for the Chicago Bears do you think he’s a better choice? I like his size better even though he’s slender, he’s faster and every bit as dangerous with his feet and his arm talent is pretty special as well.
I think both of the last 2 Heisman winners are talented and deserve to go 1, 2 in this draft. I think it comes down to who has that dawg in him, who will have his teammates fully rallied up and playing as a brotherhood, and who has not shown to be anything but dedicated to football on and off the field. It's not the worst thing to paint your nails. Who cares about that? But I don't think you would ever catch Jayden Daniels crying in his mother's arms after a tough loss. In my day, it was only the soft, entitled kids that cried playing sports. Also very entitled to think you are deserving of $$ equity in your team. That is a red flag...just like Russell Wilson wanting his own office in the Denver stadium. How'd that work out?
@@aldabarber7643 I can dig it. I personally would prefer the guy that can make some off script plays with his legs while he develops. I think Kingsbury is going to be pushing for Daniels or Williams.
People are choosing size over talent. The difference between their weight is 19lbs if the current reporting is true. Maye 229 and Daniels 210. Both of them are 6’4.
Notice how he picked Caleb's worst college game to break down and conveniently picked one of jayden's best games. I'm not a caleb fan, but it's obvious that people have a grudge against him. Also, when you are blessed with an elite offensive line and 2 top 10 recievers, you should have success as a QB.
Why in your opinion do some otherwise reputable people say that going through full progressions and making throws over the middle is a weakness? They claim he tends to leave the pocket too often when vids like this show otherwise. I don't get the disconnect
