That would carry BIG value itself, guessing $5,000 to the $30,000 range , even perhaps more in the right situation. I 'd say picking up at least $11,000-38K for returning a ring you found laying around is a good deal.

@@MentalPistol Just cos someone is mega rich doesn't mean they should give 100k for the ring back. If they are good ppl they give it back not expecting a reward, If they are bad ppl they steal it. They did the correct choice and the reward is a reward. Its why most have bad morals n bring the kids up the same way, with 0 respect. @KYtimes2 Perhaps that assumption was ill-made. Waiting some years down the line, they very well could have sold it once the fuss died down around the search for the ring. They chose not to. You might be entirely misjudging their character here as their act did not necessarily have to happen and yet they still chose to return the item.

I was just commenting on the implication that they did so simply with the ulterior motive of getting something in return and because they wouldn’t get anything out of it otherwise. However, through waiting, I brought up a means in which they could have possibly gotten even more and yet they decided not to, discrediting the implication behind the possible ulterior motives you brought up. Past that, I do wonder why you mentioned that last part. When a ring like that which could trend an upward of 10s of thousands to maybe even the 100s range of dollars, I don’t see it as unreasonable that someone other than these people would wait to cash in bigger later. The payoff there is big enough for someone to be inclined to wait unless you’re thinking they’d have to wait decades? Anyways, these people decided to do what they thought was the right decision and returned the ring.

Kudos to the folks who found the ring and returned it. They could have gotten a BUNCH of money on the memorabilia market for it. JB was gracious and generous as well, but that's kinda expected in this situation. It's not often that you see people doing the right thing being amply rewarded, so when it does happen everybody should take a minute and enjoy the feels.
Why stars dont actually reward fans with actual money when they do the right thing is beyond me. Millionaires have no idea what it's like to be working class nm multi millionaires. 300 n some million. If he lost 50000 he wouldn't even notice.

I am sorry but something is a little off here. I know that these are fans and likely expected nothing in return but this should have been front row season tickets for that lovely couple. This would still be nothing for a guy like Jaylen - especially compared to the value of that ring. It would have also made for a much better PR story than this. Pretty lame on his part.
They are getting nothing in return as far as “Value” If they wanted value they should’ve kept it. If they wanted to do the right thing they got the greatest value. What is the right thing in this case however? Those big rings aren’t made or meant to be worn like that these young players need to understand that they are so impractical as a piece of jewelry. Glad JB got his ring back but I sincerely hope there was a cash reward for this! I'm not sure what the value of that ring is, but it's a lot more than an autograph basketball and Courtside seats when you're the highest paid player in the entire league!! Should have kept the ring and sold it online. Disgraceful reward for such a prized possession 💩
