The Boston Celtics tried their hand at making an offer for Kevin Durant, and offer that included superstar Jaylen Brown. Brown took to Twitter in what's being interpreted as a reaction to the trade rumors, tweeting 'SMH'. Chris Broussard decides whether or not the Boston Celtics are playing a dangerous game with Jaylen, who was key in winning an Eastern Conference Championship for Boston, or if it's a good decision to try to make a deal with the Brooklyn Nets for KD.

Jason Tatum just set the all time playoff record for most turnovers in a single post season. 109 if I’m remembering correctly. I know he’s a great two way player, but he showed all post season he is careless with the ball, and not a facilitator. He’s basically a downgraded Kawhi. I wouldn’t trade him, but him and JB are in the same tier imo.

Brown cant brignthe ballup and he cant move witthe ball, thats why tatum has to keep doing it, which is why we just traded for a point guard. jaylen is SUPPOSEd to be the ball handling wing, but all he can do is shoot. JB is top 5 inthe league, bwon is top 30 , maybe. brown gets hurt a lot, brown took eyears longer th=an tatum to average 20 ppg , brown is a loudmouth.

that makes no sense. A player signs a contract to play with a team. But the player can be traded for any reason(performance, better option, salary, etc.) what reason does a player have to request a trade? -- not getting their money? playing time? doesn't like the facilities? free healthcare. free meals and travel? The players get way more beyond guaranteed money that i don't understand what they complain about.

@@XTRABIG one reason they request a trade is because they don’t like the direction the team is going in; rebuild vs win now. Or another reason is because the team was actively shopping them. I wouldn’t be surprised if Brown requests a trade before the season starts

@@jegca No sense? Then perhaps you don't understand how these contacts are out together or how the business is run. 1. The team signs the player. 2. the player signs a contract for money. the contract always follows the player. teams trade contracts/players for other contacts and players. Whomever controls the money has the power. That's what players agree to when they sign. They can ask for no trade clauses and if they don't get it... then don't sign the contract. Players sign regardless because the money is guaranteed. That's the trade off: Guaranteed money but you can be traded. I'm trying to see how the player loses or has a gross to complain about. i don't see it.

To be honest Brown is the better player between him and Tatum . He's got a better mental . He's tougher and has leadership quality's and he's a worker. Tatum is naturally more gifted than Brown but that's it . If I was Brown I'd leave and make my own way . Celtics never valued him and didn't expect him to get this good.

@@jrthehunter4309 Jaylen Brown played a monster Game6 vs. Miami, which should have been their closeout game, which would have given Jaylen Brown the Larry Bird EC MVP trophy, but Tatum made them lose game6, then played a great game7. Almost seems like Tatum tried to tank in the finals because he knew the Celtics going up 3-1 and possibly closing out the Warriors 4-1 would mean Jaylen Brown likely wins finals MVP. Seemed he was banking on another 7-game series which would give him a shot at catching up to Jaylen Brown, just as he did in the Miami series. Of course that all backfired because the Warriors figured everything out by then. The Celtics only shot was to finish the Warriors off early before the Warriors figured out their strategy.
