Jaylon Johnson clears the air on his 'Hollywood' comment about Caleb Williams | Parkins & Spiegel

On the Parkins & Spiegel Show, Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson provided context to a previous "Hollywood" comment that some interpreted as criticism of new Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams during the pre-draft process. The two are "all good," as Johnson put it. Johnson also shared his belief that despite his team's improvement on offense, the Bears will remain known for their strong defense, and he shared his reaction to Chicago trading away three-year starting quarterback Justin Fields in March.

Good interview. It's also good to have the context to his comments about the Hollywood thing. But, I was with him. The defense and the offense are both good and should definitely sharpen each other. We were very close to winning 10 games last season with a handful of late and single-digit losses. And, we beat the division championship (should've swept them). I think we can win the division and probably a playoff game.

People don’t take into account that we only had Sweat half the season and started winning way more since. If we just had him the whole season we most definitely would’ve had 10 wins. Everything else we acquired is literally overkill. Bears always ruin everything but it’s almost impossible to ruin this situation as long as the defense stays healthy

He is right, everybody wants to say the Defense is less now because Caleeb is on Offense. Because 'chemistry' is important and so underrated- they, the Offense has to actually learn how to play as a unit to be all everyone's expecting them to be, so given that the D is about where currently the O is- but will be just as equal when we get that extra Edge or DLine man.

Lol... Jaylon lying a little bit about whatxhappened in that interview, and Bears fans just eating it up like he's telling the truth. He makes ot clear he wasnt going off od just her insistence of the use of the word 'hollywood.' I dont think its a big story regardless, but the person interviewing him didnt try to trap him as he implies here. I think Jaylon learned that criticizing the #1 QB is probably a bad move and quickly had to figure out how to backtrack

The only weakness in our defense is Defensive tackle & opposite Montez Sweat!! Edge rusher. Johnson is a top corner in this league. That's why he got paid!!! He also told the truth about Fields not getting the red carpet rolled out for him like Williams is getting....We finally got a center & two more stud receivers that is more than what Fields was given!!!

I will root for Caleb but it is time to hold CW and this team to a new standard. He does have to prove why they considered him generational and made the move they did. I also found it funny when the call began to drop after JJ said that Justin didn’t get a fair shake.
