Had jb4 and n75 stage 2. Mods were hpfp, intake and modified oem catback on a Kona N. Jb4 did ok but the n75 is as good as the jb4 power wise but with the better drive ability and no octane learning. Just better all around.
@@commentmancommentman1658the Kona N has a second large resonator. If you look inside it actually has 2 restrictor plates that narrow it down to about 1.75” vs the stock exhaust pipe size of 2.4”. Basically it robs power and lowers the volume of the exhaust and it also lowers the amount of pops you get when in N mode
Good video lots of great points. I loved my piggyback, it actually made more power than my N75 stage 2 tune. But the clutches slipped so bad it was pointless. N75 stage 2 tune is fantastic, I'm at 320/320 with zero issues. No clutch slip no fuel cuts ( I did get fuel cuts on the piggyback on max setting even after getting the hpfp). Not having octane learning is also a huge plus.
I do. I was a little disappointed when I got it dyno’d. Dan said it was the gas but I’m not so sure. Just need a more aggressive tune. I have a spare ECU so just the off the shelf stage 2. There’s definitely lots of headroom.
@mikeyinid thats interesting no 93 and that seems more stage1 than stage 2 but as long as its smooth id ask for the tune he gave me i used as stage 2 ask him for my stage 2 nutty its called
I have the sonata n line, do you know which tune would be best for max power while also being not screwing with the car too much ,it is a lease Love the video!
@@nickclashez I wonder what numbers they would pump up if they put it in the N models, Atleast I would think they would bump the performance up from the sonata n line and k5 GT that uses the 2.5t
@@austinr1007 don’t think that would happen do to the classes the N models race in. The 2.5t makes more power then the 2.0t . No replacement for displacement. I have spanked N’s with the N line sonata . Pretty much a driver race on a dig or roll . The Elantra shines on a course were the Sonata N line is a all around car
Sick wrap. Love the design on it. For the ECU tune with N75. I thought that they send you an already calibrated ECU to swap out with you OEM one. Is it instead that the EK1 is just tuning your OEM ECU, or do they actually send you out a calibrated one? I'm a bit confused by the difference of a EK1 tune and an ECU tune lol.
@@fleexas6032with N75, the ek1 is the device you use to manually input the tune onto the Stock (OEM) ECU. Also with N75, you can simply order a spare ECU (which comes with the tune loaded onto it) and you can swap out the OEM ECU for the Spare (Tuned) ECU. EK1 is cheaper, but spare ECU is a little easier and runs less risk for warranty because you won’t be tampering with the OEM ECU.
@@devinlee3501 Thank you! I also have a catless Dp for my elantra N but dont have the tuner yet? Do i need to wait for a tune so i dont damage my engine or would it be okay to put it on right now? Thank you for your help and response!
I cannot speak on sxth i dont know enough about them i only know alot on n75 mostly i tried to reach out to all the tuners when i first got the car asking questions and n75 only quick responses that wasnt 2-3 weeks later.. i say call them
Hey buddy, quick question. Are you able to mix a couple gallons of e85 to get e30 on the stock tune and plugs/internals or do you need one of these tunes to be able to do that? Wanna see if power increases with just stock tune and e30
How can we get those jb4 parameters? The 6mt models been having the issue with like a hicup. Just wanna see if your map 6 will fix it (Jb4 support legit has no answer for us so trying to find out how to fix it) But all in i have a ecu coming from n75 next week. But will use my jb4 has a logging and stat reading with my ecu till i get a ek1
I kind of regret getting a manual n as a first timer manual driver and wish I would've gotten the dct but hopefully time will change that for me! Have you driven a manual N? Just struggling with my clutch control.
@@ndriverkg104 I’m from Long Island, was the only Manual in like a 200 mile radius and I just pulled the trigger 😂. Only got 600 miles on her so far just ordered lower motor mount as I heard it helps tremendously with shifting first to second and no more nasty wheel hop!
@@topkidgoomba Just enjoy it. You'll appreciate the manual the longer you drive it. If you swap to the automatic, it might be faster, but idk if you'll have the same fine. Coming from a DCT owner
Thanks man needed to hear this ! I’ve driven auto my whole life so it feels very different in the n even compared to riding motorcycles a manual car is not the same physically. Using leg instead of hand for clutch control I’m just not used to. Struggle to find biting point especially when I’m nervous in traffic .
@topkidgoomba yep. I got my motorcycle license a while back and I can agree that it's quite different having tried out my friend's NA Miata he bought the other day. We both didn't have experience driving a manual car, but I knew and had a lot of research beforehand + motorcycle knowledge. I taught him the whole time as we were driving home. Trust me, just take your time finding the bite point and be smooth with it. Don't worry about the honking, because they definitely do not know how to drive a manual, and you're still learning. Take your time 😉
