Thanks! This was very helpful. My device did not charge anymore. I opened the device as you showed towards the end of the video. There was just a cable loosened after dropping the speaker. Less than 5 min in, out and done!
Why d8dnt you add sound so people could understand better mine has an in and out problem and I don't know where to look loose wire PC oard damaged you need to speak on this vidio
I'm having a problem of net being able to push out my main board because there is a screw blocking a capacitor and the screw comes out underneath the control panel is the a way of still getting it out
@@suborgay550 They do. Also the Charge 3. However, the TL Charge 2/2+/3 has a different battery than the GG Charge 2/2+/3. (The video shows a GG.) The batteries look almost the same, but a GG battery will fry a TL speaker, and vice versa!
This is also my problem. I've been looking for a defective one to buy just so that I can destructively take it apart to find the answer. I think they snap on, but I have a feeling they do not snap off without damage. I've looked inside the box with an inspection camera and I do not see the key to how this is taken apart.
If you are reading this now they are not snap on, they are glued on. Either use a heat gun to heat the glue or go around with a very small flat head and loosen it.
It's not JBL Charge 2, it is JBL Charge 2+ Because I cant find that plate at 16:20 in my Charge 2, and now I don't know how to replace the Mico USB-Charging :(
Do you still have the issue? I have Charge 2 (not 2+), and made the whole PCB with mounted microUSB plug. Since I managed to squeeze 125 pieces on minimum order from JLCPCB I have still 124 left. Do you need still need it?
The 2+ video is ok, similar what you have to do with 2, but you do not have to go so far: Open the side where the battery cables are coming in, and only one front speaker (on the same side). Troug the speaker hole you can later disconnect the micoUSB cable. When you open the rubber bottom to get to the USB plug, you can see it is on a separate small PCB (not as shown on the film). You release the plug on the main board, and the cables can be pulled out for about 1-2cm. I have made the replacement PCB, with pre-soldered microUSB plug, so you have to solder the wires only. make sure that you seal somehow below this pcb (you will se the seal on the original plug - I did it with the elastic glue. Reassemble. WERY important is to seal the gap where between the main space (where the mainboard lays) and battery (entry of battery cables. I did not do it properly the first time and strong bass buzzing was coming trough the battery chamber. I sealed the cables entry and battery cover as well. Works perfectly now.
@@GregMadman Yeah it must be JBL Charge 2+ Because I cant find that plate at 16:20 in my Charge 2, and now I don't know how to replace the Mico USB-Charging :(
