I pressed the power button a bunch of times and it finally turned on but it’s dead af and none of my chargers I have are working for it so I think I’m just gonna buy the original charger it came with and see what happens I’m thinking maybe these bunk android charges I have ain’t enough energy or something idk but I pressed the power a bunch of times and it finally turned on and made the noise idk if that helps ( I have the original box just not charger)
hello, please my charge 5 wouldn't come on unless its plugged, and then no button works too. but all the buttons are working just fine. please is there any way i can resolve this? thank you
my flip 5 won't turn on and if i charge it lights up and if i plug out the charger (after a night off charging) it die instantly btw my speaker is only 3 weeks old
This may sound wrong but i tried everything and for some reason i blew air with splashes of water in the chaging port and this thing just turned on.. i think its something to do with the firmwire idk.. hope this helps
I just replaced the battery in mine and was super-impressed with the build quality. Taking the battery out was a mfer. I've been repairing electronics for years and I have never seen a design that was so purposely designed to keep you out. It is a unibody now, used to have an access panel removed by four screws, no more. There's a fragile ribbon cable you have to remove it to get at the battery. Then there's a conformal coating on the power plug and wire and some tarry seal too. The ribbon cable has a slot that it goes through to get to the power panel. Tiniest slit in the plastic to feed it through, I had to cut away with an Exacto knife and a pair of snips to finally feed it out. That was another mess, it was swollen and jammed in tight. I had to chop an aperture under the power panel and jimmy it out with a screwdriver. First, a butter knife down the battery sides to loosen it up.

Bro .. I found out the way to fix this issues .. and I made it happen again .. .. it’s crazy just. Change the changing head .. it’s locked on another circuit .. once you do that is comes on mehn. No cap ‼️

@@olikiabopaul6663 I'll keep trying, no problem with the response man don't be sorry. I do the same shit. Seems like the plug in adapter on the unit is loose but just the slightest. Contacted JBL, they gave me a meer 20% off code. Not sure if it's worth it to try them again. Went to bose with a broken soundlink, they sent me a brand new upgraded soundlink 2 no questions asked, fast delivery too. I'm starting to like bose but since a teenager stayed loyal to JBL. I'm in a bit of a conundrum here..
I have this problem where it turns on but does nothing like it’s charged m everything i turn it on no booting noise if anything please help if you can 😂
I wish I could tell you yes. I am going to call them. Over the years companies like Keurig have sent me a new coffee maker and I’ve also had a toaster oven replaced and this was well after any warranty and both places sent me new products so it might be worth us giving it a shot !
Lol.,,,,,, is funny., i had my speaker with the same problem for 1 year and after looking for videos about this., i give bit hits with beer bottle and push power button and boooooooom turns on, my speaker now works.,
I have the charge 4 , same shit happened to me... I tried everything.... then someone told me to press the power for 20 secs and it worked ... on my momma it worked .
I've got the same problem with mine , about a year old. My guess the rechargeable battery has died, There are some good RU-vid videos on JBL Battery replacement I might try that ad see how it goes.
Mine wouldn't turn on after an update and I held the power, bluetooth and volume up button and nothing happened, it turned on 5 minutes after I gave up. I have no fucking clue why or how it did that.
I got it to work! Do the same thing but plug it in to a power source and hit the power button first. Then hold Bluetooth and volume up for about ten seconds.
Send it back to JBL if you've had for less than a year.just tell them what happened and seen it to them and boom. I did it and I got it back yesterday and it works perfectly
I can make a video to how to fix that, but I know what the problem of your,.... I think it's in the battery or on the motherboard of the speaker, if you disassemble it and take out the motherboard but be careful not to break the flat wire thingy it's so thin it might break, after that take the motherboard then clean the white stuff that water dried up or damage by water put some tine tiny alcohol then brush the white stuff gently, after that try to turn on the speaker but, don't put it back just yet, you need to test it out first charge it if there, was flickering led lights its mean the battery has a water damage, now take the battery, then brush it but it has no alcohol or any liquid, just brush it gently, when you were done try to charge it then turn it on then remove the charger the speaker will stay turn on then try to turn it off, if the speaker turned off its mean that the battery has been water damage, the last thing to do is put the speaker back, but you need to sealed it, or tighten the screw so the air won't get out, that's all if you guys want a prove that I fix my speaker just comment I'll be back on next week Edit 2 I mean the battery you need to brush the battery board gently
If y'all are having this issue with your JBL speaker just hold down the power button for a minute then let it go for about 2 seconds then hit the power button I get it should turn back on

Same thing happened to my jbl xtreme two, it was only working when plugged even tho the battery was fully charged. I did hard reset and it won't come on again .
You need to charge your jbl and when the power button turns on you have to press the volume+ and the connect button at the same time until it shuts of. Then you pull the cable out and start it
my charge 3 goes to "AUX only" mode and i forgot how to get it back, i tried this and it works, still remember the code but doesn't work without plug in the power, now it's back again and thanks for sharing.
Omg I litterally have the problem of when you put it on the charger it will charge and turn on altough the battery is almost full and the solution is you have to press the pairing (not Bluetooth) button and + button (volume up) at the same time and hold it for a while then release and it will probably turn off and then just turn it on and you can connect with your phone and put it out the charger! Succes!
@@z33hayden23 before somehow that happens to me but now totally one month not turning on :( such a waste luckily it is only a gift for me last feb as my friends know i wanted to buy.
I had the same issue and all i did was plug it in to the electrical outlet and press power button and after that the bluetooth and +button and it turn on...
Before buying the Flip 3 I really did my research. I saw reviews that said it malfunctioned in less than a year but I figured it was an anomaly and bought one anyway on the strength of JBL's reputation. It is not a counterfeit knock off. I ordered it through Amazon. Well guess what. In less than a year it is malfunctioning. It's never been wet or dropped or misused. I'll never buy another JBL product.

I called JBL and told them about this and they told me to send it back and that they would fix it. I'm still waiting for my speaker to come back I would suggest you do the same 🙏if you have the same problem I have
Okay I have the flip 5 and I don’t have all the answers for my problem yet, but if this helps anyone : mine suddenly turned off when I was listening to music as always, and I figured I just needed to charge it. So I charged it for a long time and when I tried using it the next day, it wouldn’t turn on. I tried everything that involves pushing the buttons, but nothing worked. I mean, it’d turn on (and have a red light for a few second) and then turn back off, almost immediately. I tried it while it being plugged too. I decided to plug it to my computer instead (?) and it suddenly worked. I thought okay let’s see what happens when I unplug it. I thought it would immediately turn off. But it didn’t ! Though, I saw the red light again after just a few seconds, so i’m assuming this means it’s not charged ? But i really don’t get it, because the charger I use to charge it works with other devices, so it’s not a broken charger. And since it seems to work/charge while plugged to my laptop, it doesn’t seem to be a battery problem to me either ? I guess I’ll give you an update when it’s been plugged for a few hours.
Me too , I push power and the 5 lights in battery power level turn on for split second then off again. I try charging and its 4 solud lights and one blinking like charging. Sucks because this things new. I did rest my head on it with a case. Think I mashed a few buttons and fd it up I think.
charleysturbos if this helps, I was able to eventually fix mine. The charger port was broken so I had to adjust it a little until it was able to charge fully
