Solution: 1. Plug the speaker in to turn it on. 2. Press and hold the JBL Connect+ and Volume Up (+) buttons simultaneously for 10-15 seconds. 3. Once the speaker turned off, unplug it and its now on normal mode. Hope this helped! :D
MILENARXZZ YT I found the problem the power connecter clip was making false contact but I managed to make it clamp down good with a piece of folded paper 👍🏽 thanks though
Had the same problem on my Charge 4 just now! It powered up by itself when the powercord was connected and turned off when i removed it. Nothing worked. Solution: 1 Plug in powercable so it turns on 2 Hold JBL connect+ button and play button down at the same time for 10-15 sec. 3 it should turn off by itself. Then you remove the powercord. Turn back on as normal and it should be fixed.
Anyone notice you can't buy replacent parts from jbl only place I found replacement parts was from folks selling on ebay, and I also noticed there are several diff models of each jbl speaker I have the charge 4 and believe there are 3 diff models to those one model uses wires with plug ins and mine uses those ribbon flat cables (don't kno the actual name of them) but my speaker quit charging battery lights stopped and I opened it up and sure as shit the ribbon cable hold downs, (the brown hinge thing) FELL OFF both of them from vibration. Now why would they make them like this if this happens? Also the ones with reg wires have more power delivery to the speakers. So, they should've left well enuf alone! But now that I got mine fixed after having to order new ribbon cable and hot gluing it to the board because u csnt find new hinges and the cables plugged in backwards from what I thought they should've I screwed my cable up, but it's working but now I want a boombox or a party speaker but around my neck of the woods we only have walmsrt and they are always put of them, they have the speaker before the boombox after the charge 5 now but that'd not what I want. Also, I love what they've done with the jbl logo on the new 5 versions it's way nicer than the orange box
Did not work for me..when I plug the power in the connect button stays lit along with the lower lights. And holding the buttons down the lowers lights flash in unison once.
