I see what you did there you're saying the boombox is really good but not for its price.

You should try to watch the jbl websites. They have something called "outlet" where they sell refurnished stuff. It feels like new. With some coupons i got mine for a bit more then 250 euros, wich is about half the price for me. If u got usd u can do the math.

In fact, I am thinking about selling my XTREME 2 and buying another BOOMBOX for Grilling-Out, Pool-Parties, parties at the lake, and for when I go to a person's house that has a shitty sound system! Lol

Well, you can have a handle if you want, you can go buy some rope like a shoelaces but longer than it and craft it like a handle then buy a clip that you can put on the crafted handle and carry it around like boombox

I'm hearing that a lot. I don't own one but really want one! Tbh if you're travelling via walking for a distance the 2 can be just as annoyingly heavy and awkward. With the straps (I have 2 also) they bounce around a lot slipping off the shoulder and the sway even if only an inch against the body gets annoying, can't say painful as if one does they need a bit more pain tolerance lol. Buuuuut I've also dropped them in 100 ways and all they do is bounce tumble roll a bit without dent scratch or scuff. Pick it up and away you go! Try that with a Bose lol I love how strong they are! Lastly after my babble here that no one's gonna read anyway so bc its too long and too much work for the brain...I have 2 charges I xtreme and 2 extreme 2s, it's also my basement cave dwelling home entertainment center ha..all it's missing is the mains for the bass. Each speaker has a different sound and sound great together. And. Btw oddly enough an extreme 2 commented to a charge only sound horrible together but 2 charges connected sound awesome End of rent and have a great day/night!

Nope is actually clean very clean. It's just that its too loud for the mic...so it sounds distorted but it's not.

I own the JBL BOOMBOX and the XTREME 2... And the BOOMBOX (on 'Indoor-Mode') has a Lot Better Treble, Mids, and Bass compared to the XTREME 2 (with firmware version 1.2 or 1.9) when listening to both of them side by side in person!

Seabeeman, your opinion carries FAR more weight to those who only own one or none of the tested speakers. Thanks for sharing, trying to decide between the 2 to use on a semi truck for sounds in the front and sound with my monitor in the back while watching movies. I currently have a Charge 2.

If you can afford it, buy the JBL BOOMBOX!!! It's WAY BETTER than the XTREME 2!!! ...I own both!

1 Xtreme is better , if you read manual , press MINUS + BLUETOOTH for 10SECS and its louder tan boom box

I dont think so!!! I have the jbl boombox and my friend has a partybox 100 and we ware on a boat trip and his party box DIED by water so good luck with your party box. And jes.... ok you wil never use it maybe by water but you never know. So IPX7 or louder?

I use Jet Audio media player at it will tell you the volume output

@@DLXWillington Oh hmmm oki I only ask because I use my fiio Dap mp3 player thingy which outputs on maximum volume so all volume is controlled by my actual speaker I don't use phones for music because they suck XD
