Please help me I have Carge 3 that can't turn on, unless it's connected to the USB port. A. There is a way to solve this issue? Pressing common button combinations do not work B. There is a way to update firmware using my PC? The JBL Connect app can't find the device (though I can play music from my android) Thanks
Got the charge 3 and the boombox. Honestly other than the bone shaking bass and ridiculous max volume the charge 3 is still an amazing speaker for the money. Totally recommend rounding out the boom box with a couple charges, the sound will blow you away for an outdoor party!
If there's one lesson I've learned when buying JBL Bluetooth speakers its to wait until they go on sale. I didn't expect the new Pulse 3 to go on sale any time soon considering how much they teased and hyped it up. I ordered it and now its $20 cheaper on sale just 2 months later. I have the Xtreme and it is great. The strap is a big deal for the way I carry it. JBL could have spend the extra few bucks if that for strap loops considering how expensive this speaker is IMO. I cannot think of any advantage to submersible versus splash proof. Dunking s $450 speaker makes no sense to me but rain is possible. My opinion is the Boombox needs to go on sale before I would personally consider it and even then I'm not sure that the Xtreme needs to be more than it already is. I did get the Xtreme on sale but I paid full pop for my others. I'm smarter now and will wait for the sales. Oh, and great video!
Hey! Congrats for the video! Well filmed and good content! Would you please give me an answer that I haven't found anywhere? How many JBL Xtremes we can pair via JBL connect? Thanks!
Great video answered all my questions while considering the boombox. Specially helpful to know my xtreme won't talk to it (except with dual bluetooth on s8 but that will have poor sync I imagine)
Hey buddy! Nice vid. We are looking to get either the xtreme or the boombox for the pool area. Can't really decide, we won't be taking it around so much it will stay there. I heard some people saying complaining about Boombox and others complaining about battery issues with the Xtreme. Can you help a brother out? Thanks :)
I have the xtreme and it has enough bass and is honestly loud enough for me , I mean the boom box is wayy louder with a deep bass but when it comes to portability the extreme would be easier
Rather than wasting 450 Bucks , just buy another extreme for 200 bucks if you already have one and combine both extremes Don't go from JLB Extreme to JLB Boombox
I have just bought a JBL Boombox. Used it for a couple of hours. It sounds really good and I like it very much. But after using it for a while, I am hearing an annoying sounds..like high frequency sounds when battery reduce under 50 percent. Is it normal?
Is the Xtreme worth it? I’m thinking about buying but I keep seeing people say after about a year or so, the Xtreme battery is terrible. It can play without being plugged it. Any response will help
I decided the boombox wad just TOO big. I found the Xtreme on sale for 200 at best buy and it did sound better than the Boombox TO ME. I'm not a totally bass fanatic. That said i appreciate SOME bass BUT like clarity too. When I heard the muffled Charge 3 i thought "Hell no. The bass drowns out the mids". Flip 4 was a lot clearer but had NO BASS. UG. i couldn't afford a boom box anyway right now and it was just too large. Even the extreme is too large but...its audio with decent mids ultimately made me say "okay...YOU.". To be honest at the time boombox wasn't a fit BUT... I can see its value at the same time. Goodness knows it sounds better than the charge 3 and flip 4...and clip 2 UG.
Ditz3n you can be pretty sure that there will be a xtreme2 next year but im guessing around summer. Btw my friend has both and says it isnt worth the extra money so im waiting for xtreme2
I have the Xtreme 1, Xtreme 2 (15% less volume than the Xtreme 1, but 15% more bass, 1 less USB port wtf why), and Boombox which BLOWS THE XTREMES AWAY - 4x+ louder, bassier, mids very present, treble extremely clean and not overpowering. The Xtremes focus more on the treble but also hit a very RESPECTIBLE bass for the their size and weight which is by far probably the best bass and volume for most speakers of the same equivalent size. If you can afford the Boombox 1 (I would recommend it over the 2... once again less volume, slightly non-significant enhancements, again 1 less USB port why). The Boombox 1 uses JBL Connect+ to link speakers which is NOT the same as JBL Connect (on Xtreme 1) so be aware of that. ALSO, if you try to hardwire the older Xtreme with the Xtreme 2 with a Y-splitter, there will be an audio delay between them ... again, wtf different processing speeds even when hardwired. Regardless, just get the Boombox on sale - $500 is still too high, I think it is definitely worth $400 or less though.
My studio guys and sound company guys always have said," Mid-Range makes everything happen ". So put that in your opinions and suggestions and both options will be lacking. Just a thought. I will stick with earbuds. Cheap ones at that. lol
My xtreme and flip 3 don't go quite as low in bass(hz) as my sony xb70bt($100)earbuds so a few(small percentage)of my songs sound better on earbuds(over 3000 song playlist)but otherwise indistinguishable sound signatures and an awesome option so I don't have to use earbuds all the time such as at the skatepark
I don't know... I just know the big one in Portugal costs like 500€ and I made from scratch a set of BT speakers for 150€ for a costumer and was still able to make profit out of it. Of course, it will never have the built quality and same sound as of JBL, what I'm trying to say is once again, , JBL is acting like BMW, by overpricing stuff. They sound great, it's true, but I'm never buying these because for the same money I can make... well, I did build a sort of PA system that already blew one of my room windows up. Don't believe... oh I can prove that ;)
Try and find a new battery for the boom box you can’t Mine started only lasting 5 to 6 hrs and it’s over a year old so no warranty Took it apart and one of the batteries were expanded now I’m using 2 jbl extreme battery’s that I put together
The charge 3 looking small in the background 😂 also u cant make a vid showing 2 connect plus speakers and even show the connect plus and have the audacity to say they cant connect
One JBL BOOMBOX smokes two XTREME's/XTREME 2's!.. You'll know what I mean when you buy your first BOOMBOX!!! The ONLY 'EXTREME' Bluetooth Speaker that JBL makes is the JBL BOOMBOX!!! Buy the BOOMBOX... ...you'll thank me later!
Dear RU-vidr. I like your videos but please can you make a video about sony xb20 vs xb30 soundtest because i didn't found any videos about this, or can you please write your opinion. Thanks! :)
+Dominik Csősz if you're trying to choose between the xb20 and xb30 just get the xb30 when it's on sale. It gets slightly louder but has A MUCH longer battery life
1 sound test. Is it too hard to ask for 1 sound test, on a product that doesn't matter without sound?! Use your iPhone or tablet mic, is better than Just talking. I'll believe it when I hear it.
