I know this vid is 2 years old... But I heard the Revolve at a friend's house a couple of days ago.. and was very impressed for the clarity and amount of sound coming out of the small form factor.... In my mind I tried to compare it to my Flip 4.. But now realize they are in different classes, although somewhat [similar size].. Thanks for the vid.

Love your smooth camera movements dude! So, the Bose is clearly outboomed here and is expensive in India. ($ 350) I like the UE Megablast (did I get that right?) best. The Extreme has a huge footprint, has that strange JBL echoey midtone and typically souped up JBL sound. The UE is not cheap either but it looks good and has a really nice sound. At this level it's very personal. I like the UE sound best. If you want excellent sound, beautiful finish and perfect size, buy the Bose Soundlink Revolve+. It's only con is it's not as rugged as the other 2. The UE floats! This is a very good video.

I don't care about bass or overall loudness; I only care about overall sound quality. And sound quality is something that you need to hear in-person yourself. I'm glad that I went with Bose over JBL.

I actually like the physical architecture of the Bose SL revolve +. Bose Bluetooth speakers have that smoother and richer sound than other portable Bluetooth speakers don't have. Bang and Olufsen is too bright for my taste. I have a Soundlink micro, it has the best sound of any miniature Bluetooth speakers on the market. I'm a proud part of the Bose family. I might get the portable home speaker instead of the Soundlink revolve plus because it has even better sound than the revolve plus and it can be used as a smart speaker while you're at home in addition to being a Bluetooth speaker when you're out and about

I also enjoy a more balanced sound signature than even a slight V-shaped signature but a little V won't hurt anybody. All said, I think the utility of the Xtreme and just overall ruggedness would prove really useful over the Bose, love the idea of the shoulder strap.

After listening to these speakers on display at a local store, I found the bass to be far superior than any other portable there. Including these. It's been several years and I've bought cheaper speakers but missed that awesome bass sound that I remember when listening to the Bose. My latest speaker broke so I've decided to take the plunge and go Bose Revolve plus. I didn't want to spend the money and I also didn't like the look of the Bose. Especially the handle. Yuck! But I've yet to find a comparable sound quality or bass. So I'm buying the pricey ugly Bose Revolve plus.

I got the mega blast and it’s good there’s a charging stand for it. It’s has good sound and base. BUT.... don’t go to Best Buy I can ripped off . I think i bought it when it first came out I spent 270 dollars. Then I month later I looked in amazon and it was only 150 dollars.

Let me add to this video. RU-vids compression doesnt give the audio justice, no surprise there. I did a comparison with my friends extreme and my soundlink. The jbl has more kick and and subs at high volume. More talored for a bass head individual while the bose has a more balanced sound when at max volume. And in my opinion its Very well balanced. At the end of the day it comes down to preference for sound. More bass at hogher volume get jbl more well balanced sound bose. Thats just my opinion

I coach beach volleyball out on the beach and need a speaker that can sit in the middle of 4 courts and be heard on all of them. The Brookstone Big Blue Party Indoor Outdoor Speaker was perfect, but I had to replace it because it’s a fire hazard. I bought the JBL Boombox and it does everything we need EXCEPT it only faces one way, so you can’t hear it from the two courts behind it. What is the best replacement? I need portable, bluetooth, loud, 360 degree or at least front & back speakers so sound goes 2 opposite directions, and waterproof if possible. Budget up to $500. I'm looking at the Bose Revolve+ but am not sure it's as loud as the Big Blue Party. Does anyone have any recommendations?

The EQ you mention for the UE speakers contrasts what I've seen on other reviews. They say the bass is lacking and it's best for rock music. Could it be the EQ in the music app you're using or the phone's settings is affecting the audio output? I'm not trying to say you're wrong. Just trying to see why different reviewers are saying the UE speakers are good for different types of music.

I don't find the bass lacking at all. If "real music" is compared, using a variety of acoustic guitars, pianos, and full band rock, the UE holds its own with no problems. The JBL rolls off midrange so that makes the bass appear louder, so when you play some acoustic guitar work on both, the UE sounds completely transparent and the JBL sounds like...a speaker.

The bose seems quiet, the blue one had treble and the xtreme is loud, decent bass and has a good design. Jbl has this thing where they cut off bass after ~50%, volume, so it may have more treble at higher volumes, but it just seems like that when being close to it. Most cheaper speakers just dont do this, so they get ruined quick. Got a flip 5 and it sounds very well, almost like a charge 3 or equal.

I have all three well not the megablast but i have the old version megaboom. And by far the best one is bose loudest and best quality..The megaboom comes in second place and the jbl is no where near the qualty of the other two.

F /REE at higher volume it has good bass and sounds solid. When it comes to low volume or mid volume it doesn't bump that well. It's important addition because playing at 100% often runs your battery fairly quick.

There are just too many times when comparing the sound, the extreme just sounds like it needs the base to be turned down and treble turned up! The bose is superior in overall sound quality! Extreme has more base, but most times, unless your playing a base song, it sounds like it needs a equalizer!!

My xtreme does have a floor speaker level of bass presence and sound which I prefer and have never felt the need to turn the bass down. The bose and UE sound more like bookshelf speakers or my charge 3. I always use EQ unless I am using my speakers outdoors.

Connect tech isn't cross platform. You can't pair a JBL to a UE speaker They'd have to develop a uniform tech to have pairing with different devices since BT isn't able to support that kind of need, yet...

I like the Bose... I have JBL extreme & Megaboom ... But I'll stick to JBL extreme.... I'll go for jbl extreme 2 n flip 4.... Coz of jbl connect +... Bose are quite classy n don't travel well... I'm in Africa n love adventures so for my travels I'll always choose a jbl...

My guy you get a Bluetooth speaker for wireless for 1 and for 2 I have ur speakers and mine are vary far from muddy Bose is more low-end and u probably have the uemegablast up to loud try and turn it down to 75 and it should be plenty loud

Check chinese speakers. Usually those have card readers. Problem is the audio quality of the chinese brands(tornsmar, anker, ugreen, ghia, etc.), even anker have issues with the life spam of pieces and battery in their stellar products like anker motion+, so be carefull of select an oficial seller and no a reseller en ebay or amazon.

I'm a Bose fan but JBL Xtreme 2 had a much Fuller & deeper sound. Battery life is twice as long. UE is overpriced & doesn't compare to either of these two. Xtreme 2 was 299.00 when I bought it at Best Buy 6 months ago. I see it now priced at 219.00 .

If the bose battery is anything like the one in my bose color sound link, don't ehf with it. It won't hold a charge for over 20 minutes. Even when it's idle. But it still works plugged in. Take it from the guy who doesn't even listen to his own advice and still buys bose.😂 You buy bose for the audio. Good job on the video. This is the kinda comparison review I like to see

The xtream has a much more easy to listen to bass. The sound quality is better in the ue but the jbl is much more practical. After all if ur going to buy such a big speaker u might as well get the one which handles the loud bass drops the best.

This was a great unbiased review that I really enjoyed. Danké @Gymcaddy Most reviews I seen are biased against the Bose speakers because of the premium on them as opposed to the more affordable JBLs.
