Now that Sam and Nate have their engine back together they bolt it up to the transmission of the Baja Bug, which is so easy to do as there is no body in the way! Sam installs a temporary wiring harness so he can start the engine up and ensure everything is working as it should. Then a battery jump pack is attached to the starter to provide power to everything and Nathan fire's up his engine!
Once the engine is warmed up they set the distributor timing, and tune in the carburetor. Well, Sam does most of the work as Nathan seems to be distracted while he plays with friends, he is a kid after all! Once the distributor and carburetor are both adjusted and the engine is running properly, Sam and Nate jack the car up and set it on stands so they can test the transmission, before it is removed to make way for a stronger Bus transmission and larger rear suspension!
