It's odd that the depth guide is in mm but the width guide is in inches. One day, maybe in about 50 years time, we might finally go fully decimal. My grandkids might have a pint to celegrate.
Hi Dean, hope your well. JCB make some good tools , I do have a set of JCB screwdrivers I've had for 20 years they take some stick but they are brilliant. Good review on the circular saw and quiet running and I did here you clear when you had the saw running. Looks like a good one and your happy with it. How are you getting on with your table saw rebuild. As always a great video Take care👍
Thanks Shaun! Tablesaw is pretty much done, just waiting on an arbor nut from America to hold the blade on - no guarantees it’ll be the correct thread but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
the thing is, it doesn't matter what the machine is (brand) it's down to the blade that's fitted. A Festool with a crap blunt blade will not be as good as the cheapest saw with the best blade fitted.
That’s mostly true, but hard starts and rubbish brakes with loads of noise aren’t great on some saws, but generally the blade makes the most difference for sure
Does it make any difference that the blade is nearest the body when cutting and the extraction port is under the the arm etc. I have a monster 235mm corded De-Walt circular saw which is too big TBH and really cumbersome to use. but i do find that the motor nearest me with the extraction port away from me suits me. But open to options and opinions. Its a good price as well just checked the website under £100 for unit an 4.0 AH battery.
Ordinarily I have my hose attached and having it going the way it does makes life easier for me to make sure it doesn’t catch. I could always 3D print a 45 elbow for it but not had the issue, but I love really seeing the cut
Nice review Dean. Thanks. Take care & stay safe. PS I have 1 of those mains powered Angry circ saws too. Deffo makes a fellow glad for Hearing Protection. Take care & stay safeM8.
