Update from TheJasmineBrand: Jeezy vehemently denies these abuse allegations. The rapper & author says the specific incident that she is referring to is a complete lie. Court docs state that the injuries that Jeannie references are actually from a golf court accident. Below, are photos and texts that illustrate how the injury happened and the time frame in which it occurred. Jeezy also provides photos of the injuries that he allegedly suffered from the golf cart accident. Jeannie Mai alleges the incident took place in April. The text messages indicate a date of June, months after the alleged incident.

Exactly. I was about to say that text message he sent apologized for “PUTTING HER IN DANGER” NOT assaulting her or anything of that nature. Maybe he was drunk and drove erratically and that happened which garnered an apology, but I just can’t see a woman with that much leverage, status, money and opportunity staying in a marriage where she’s getting beat up and he’s leaving u, giving u a “way out” and u fighting to stay. ESPECIALLY knowing it wasn’t that long of a marriage. There’s a many women who truly are suffering at the hands of abuse so to stretch her story for clout in getting custody or anger from him leaving is a different type of low. I have brothers and know women who have been in seriously abusive relationships where their lives have been altered because of it so this hit different for me smh..

Jeanie was such an open book on the Real. From her past experiences in past relationships, why would she marry Jeezy, let alone have his baby if this was all going on. Also, the way Jeanie put Jeezy on such a pedestal was weird to me. Jeanie likes to come off as this deep individual who knows how to look inward and who got to know herself from her past experiences. The way she would talk about how intune her and Jeezy were this is not that shocking. After a while from watching the real, you have to take everything Jeanie says with a grain of salt. She presented this relationship as the best one she's ever been in. So for this to all come out, it's crazy she put up with this and wanted to stay in the marriage if all this was happening. If Jeezy never would have filed for divorce, Jeanie would have stayed in the marriage with all that going on and exposed her daughter??? Prime example can't look up to "celebrity relationships " never know what is really going on.

I agree. I never fully understood how and why she made a total change in personality after meeting him. She became unlike herself but I chose to believe it was because he supported and nurtured her so she could become feminine. At this point I don’t know what she was thinking and clearly she is not so evolved to the point of accepting a dangerous man into her life and having a child with her. I’m just appalled and embarrassed for her.

Afterwards, to get you from pressing charges or taking action, they love bomb again. At that point the victim just wants to see the representative again but he never really existed. That is probably why she has hoped it could work and that if she did one more thing, the representative will show up again. He filed for divorce to control the narrative.

It’s not that weird. You have to remember that she made him seem like he was someone that he may not be. She glorified their relationship publicly. That means that she was trying to stand up for their relationship publicly. She is in her 40s. Second time Divorce. Not only is that embarrassing; it’s also difficult to deal with. To keep having to go back out into the world though you thought a relationship could work? Also adding to that a baby? Especially because she initially did not want to have children. Culturally, this goes against everything she wanted; and wanted to represent. Not to mention many victims protect their abusers. I protected my ex boyfriend for years from allowing our mutual friends to find out how much of a dirtbag he was. And in the end, he went on a smear campaign against me and had people trying to burn me at the stake; because apparently I was this evil person. I finally aired him out after people came to me with his lies repeatedly.

Seems like Jeannie was trying to shield his DV towards her and alcoholism from the public to probably help him keep his reputation in tact but seems like the gloves are off now. Very very sad to have to expose yourself and private matters like this. As a licensed clinical therapist, this is so disheartening 😢 But, therapists need to stick to ethics and NOT engage in couples counseling when domestic violence is present in the relationship/marriage. This puts the victims at additional risk! Therapists need to do better honestly because I hear clients mention situations like this with other therapists way too often 😢

Trauma bonds. Just because something is unhealthy or wrong doesn't mean we are ready to accept that. Especially something as personal as marriage the father of her child etc. That's accepting her whole marriage is a failure the man she married never loved her wouldn't protect her or her kid. Never mind the public. Who wants their most traumatic moments exposed. Ppl keep hush and try to fix things. Ppl take time to understand what they went through. When they are in survival mode it's more about making him look good be happy and not make him mad. Once they are out the situation and the initial shock wears off they can start to heal. Yeah, it's all too convenient. He files for divorce, she wants to fight for the marriage, he wants joint custody, she says he has guns in the house. He wants to uphold the prenup, she wants alimony, He wants full custody, he beats her. It's giving very much Amber Heard vibe. I don't believe her NOR him.
