Is your 4 seasons heater valve leaking? Common Problem for these jeeps, I decided to bypass the system all together to where you no longer need the factory component, instead i installed a system off a newer model that wont interfere with your heater performance.

When you refill the system leave the top heater hose loose off the water pump. The system will fill fast and when it comes out the hose or water pump your system is almost full. Re attach the hose, top it off and go.

Your heater bypass valve, is for your Air Condition. Has nothing to do with a backup feature, incase of heater core failure. The bypass valve, stops hot coolant from flowing thru your hvac box, greatly decreasing the cooling ability of your AC

Does the HVAC box have a fan blowing heat away from it? No it doesn't, it's stale air. The 97+ cherokees bypassed the heater control valve, so how important is it really? It isn't! It doesn't matter if you do it this way or if you use a brass 3/4 hose coupler and go through the heater core. Just get rid of heater control valve! The thing is Satan in disguise.

the heater control valve is there to divert hot water flow so the ac will work hence the name heater control valve

It's not needed, the 97 and up cherokee's were designed using this modification. So how important is it really.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but I don't see any comments about the removal of the heater control valve and just running heater hoses straight through which I think is an awesome idea. But in your video it never said if it worked or gave you any problems or if you got heat ect. I am very curious because I'm having the same problem with my ford explorer and if it works I'm going to do the same thing. Could you please respond and let me know what your results were cause to me it seems to be a waste of useless parts that last a year or two at the most. Thank you for your time. When I made the video it hasn’t stood the test of time yet. But is now going on 2 year and No issues yet. Those heater valves have about a 2-3 year life span. You honestly don’t need it, so I just bypassed it.
