Apollo Apterra AT2 is coincidentally not available for compass. Actually one of the biggest cons of this car is, there is no AT tyre available in the market in this size even though it is has 4x4. Btw one more correction. Compass doesn’t have a transfer case. The Low is basically the first gear. On normal roads it is actually 2-9 gears which work making it in reality an 8speed. 1st gear only activates when in Low or manually put to first gear.
No doubt Tiguan is a great car but it has few cons too. Tiguan is a CBD unit and has heated seats and costs around 40 lakhs. Less features. The service cost of tiguan is much higher than Jeep compass. Compass has a lot of variants to choose from starting at 22 lakhs.
@@mks1702 i disagree with that one of my friend owns a tiguan and I've driven several times, but after test driven a compass the sense of security and the highway manners of compass is far better handling is kinda better on the tiguan though less body roll, but what we expect from an suv is more evident on the compass we can see the whole bonnet, the driving position, ventilated seats,on & off road capabilities etc
It's only the Tucson that can beat all it's class ultimately in this & overall as a CUV. But as nothing is perfect, Compass is a more rugged & best off-roader in this class while Tiguan has the solid build of VW, Citroën C5 aircross the comfort, all of which the Tucson can't match though u gotta agree it's the best in it's segment overall as in :- aerodynamics, dynamics, performance, stability, soft & nimble, easy to use, innovation, safety(don't bring the old low trim safety ratting from an untrustable company source), design(it's polarizing but tasteful, pretty & complex once u like it's looks & curves, whether from Brazil or not, who cares?, it's greatly design), presiseness, elegance, specs, vfm, etc. Though in CUV terms it's a con, I do like the uniquely low stance of Tucson, it's big & wide but nose drops lower than a Creta. My pick would be :- 1. Compass for fun = most off/soft-road capable & 2. Tucson as an ultimate buy = best CUV.
Great design, Great Handling, Spacious interior, Rugged exterior.. It’s basically an allrounder but a little pricey though.. For those who can afford it, it’s totally worth it!
I've got hit thrice on my Jeep in a month and got out with minor scratches. It's a Beast. A tank. People who feel it's overpriced. Did you Know. 1. EBP 2. Hydraulic boost failure compensation 3. Laser welded seamless joints. 4. 85% Galvanized steel body.
This is not the newly updated 2024 compass. The recently updated compass does come with a headrest for the middle passenger and a few other cosmetic changes (alloys and front grille).
Correction required: Base variant on-road price is now 23 Lakhs. Last month they reduced the base variant price by 1.6 lakhs. Please update in the video. And also the variant your are using in video outdated one. The latest one has updated alloy wheels and ground clearance increase from 178 mm to 206 mm. The cabin noise also reduced by 80% as per the Jeep sales persons.
Hi Faisal , I own the compass model S petrol 2023 , going through the internet but I barely find any video of the petrol variants , it's actually underrated please make a video/ short if you could do even though its discontinued now ☹️
Been driving this for over 2 years now and have never felt the instrument cluster has been a problem….there are different views available….some are pretty slick
I think Jeep should have lauch meridian for comparison with mg hector around 40 lakh category but they overpriced around 50-60 lakhs to compete with endeavour and fortunes
Tank like build quality, Premium Interiors, Good ride quality & steability, 2 L Diesel Engine Power/Pickup / Performance are amazing. As Compass is a rock solid vehicle, driving a manual one is little tough so Automatic is the best choice. Maintenance cost is also little bit high but can overcome upto a certain level through service package upto 5 Years.
As you correctly pointed out, the main cons (Big headache) are the after sales service and issues with BSvi engine (Check engine light keeps coming up). Also, the suspension is too stiff and uncomfortable in bad roads. So i feel the suspension setup is overrated. But on the highway it's top notch. The driving dynamics is not great tbh. Other than these mentioned cons, the car excels in every other department.
Best car in the segment I have 2 Jeep compass Strong chassis, best safety in class Great handling, nice music system, ventilated seats, everything jeep compass has…
Thanks for the video, I think you con#2 is specific to your unit. Mine works just fine. Enjoying the pure pleasure of driving a Jeep for last 3 years. Surprisingly the after sales service is good in chennai 😅
6 air bags should have been a standard in Compass in all its variants. In other cars less than half its price they are offering 6 air bags. Compass has a strong body, but 6 air bags gives more confidence to a customer to buy it.
Bro! It will be good if you first learn its function in stationery mode. Its not that difficult the way you made it look. I am using since 2020 and planning to buy another one. S optional model.😂
Bro, you should do a rumble strips test for every car you review. These strips on the road are annoying and sometimes really hurt the car. Please let us know how each car handles these strips.
Warning to all potential Jeep Compass buyers! As a current owner, I'm extremely disappointed with the after-sales service. The service center in my area suddenly shut down without any notice, leaving me stranded. I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone due to this poor support.
Bro ... After Sales the service is too good. Why simply blaming Service. Compare to other brands Jeep service is good. I didn't faced any issue till now from service side from 4 years.
It happened to watch this video , but you promoting Apollo tyres... Then you are talking about cons and pros of JC. it defeats the entire trust on your words... Will you use this tyre on your own car and drive with high speed...
I have Jeep Compass 2024, no other Indian car company can match the standards of Jeep. Not even Mahindra or Tata. Mahindra and Tata are just making people fool by making plastic cars and importing every part of their cars from outside, and yet claiming to be an Indian manufacturer. American build quality is par apart, driving jeep you will feel like you are driving a luxury car like Audi or bmw. I have had minor accidents two times with the small truck/pickup truck and my car got no impacts while the truck’s bonnet and light got destroyed. If you wanna invest 32 lakh Rs, do it for American or germans, not for Indian manufacturers.
I am getting a mileage of 17 kmpl on my Diesel manual compass, i use it for inter-city drives only and 90% of my run is on highways and expressways. That is also the reason why my experience is really good, this is a typical American car and you will disappoint yourself if you use it for city commute
There are cars that do similar off roading. There are cars that do similar handling. There ae cars that do similar ride comfort. There are cars that are rugged aswell. There are cars that has similar good engines. There are cars that allow you to turn quick turns with almost zero body roll. There are cars that will not make you tired after riding miles and miles. But are there cars have all of them in one car? The answer is NOOO. There is only one care having all of them in one car that is Jeep Compass. This is the most value point of the Jeep compass and what you pay extra is not an extra it is for what you get. Cars in India are highly taxed and costly so does Jeep compass. Jeep Compass cannot be sold at Harrier or safari or XUV price because it is much higher class in above mentioned qualities.
