Chris an idea I got from another video was as you point out take the wheel,then the sensor head closed to wheel and clean it from the debris then thru the hole can clean the dust by apply air pressure on the ring and I believe can be used WD 40 as well.

I got a 2012 jeep patriot latitude with the speed wheel sensor light on. Sometimes it turns off but now it mostly stays on. I'll definitely try to replace them. Thank you very much for this info👏🏻👏🏻

Ok ... me again. After all that the Jeep has been thru. About 3 weeks ago I had to have the radiator replaced that was just replaced months ago. Plus the #5 spark plug and coil to be finished off with replacing the power control module. I was going to pass on it but asked what purpose did it serve? I was told it was the Brain of the Jeep. Hmmm, they said it was covered under the powertrain warranty. Not by much but for that I am grateful. Signing off from me and my disposable Jeep. I hope no one else has been thru this and I have a feeling it's not over with. Enjoy yours though. 😊

Disconnect battery for a bit then plug back in. It'll reset. Then you'll know if it pop's back up somethings wrong really wrong. Happened when I put new wheel bearing on

So my jeep Liberty is stuck in 4 wheel drive constantly and the traction control wont turn on. Whenever I try to put in in 2 wheel drive, the 4WD light and the Traction Control Off like start flashing very quickly. It also says ESC Off and it also starts flashing whenever I try to put in 2WD. Any advice?

One small thing to add. I have a Patriot for running my dog to and from the park and the ABS light came on. Turned out it was because the front tyres where mis-matched as the car had 3 winter Goodyears and one summer tyre after the previous owner had a puncture. I replaced it with the matching winter tyre and that solved the problem. The car was registering the slight variance and throwing the light.

Last night I replaced my e brake drum brakes on my 07 wrangler and I got 3 lights that wont go away ..the abs and the traction control but also the esp bas light any ideas...I tried unhooking the battery

Thx 4 the info, great video. I have the same problem on my 2016 wrangler, abs/traction light comes on n cruise doesn't work. Weird thing is it only happens in the summer months n never in the cold winter months, that has to be the sensor's.

Speed sensor warranty was extended to 15 years and unlimited miles. Also traction control pops on me after a day of bar wheeling. Usually straightening the steering wheel fixes it

I replaced front track bar in my 2012 Wrangler. Steering wheel wasn't straight afterwards (fixed that with allignment), BUT traction light came on, and cruise control doesn't work. HELP!

When your ABS and Traction Control lights came on, did your Jeep handle differently or show any detectable signs that something wasn't right?

Great video, well done. When my 2006 Jeep goes into that mode, it will begin with a horrible finding noise like it wants to go into 4 wheel drive, but can't. After a while of hobbling around on the road it straightens out, all those lights come on and it rides normal. I park the car for a time and the lights are off.... until the next time. What causes the grinding?

I just got new tires 3mths ago and end of last month abs and traction light came on how do you figure out which sensor it is there are 2 different types cost me 300 at the dealership last time before new tires and I have a warranty but my deductible is around the same so didn't use it so that sucked I could do it if I had someone to help. is the Jeep dangerous to drive mean time?

hello Cris! I have a JKU 2015 and I had this problem too. Turning the key three times appears “done”, no code is displayed. I washed the car and nothing changed. Do you have any suggestions of what it might be?

could aftermarket wheel spacers be causing the trac. control/abs light to come on?

Any electronic related part, I always go OEM (Mopar) or try to find the supplier of the parts, if a 3rd party makes them for Mopar, such as Mahle is a supplier for Jeep thermostat housings (3.6 Pentastar).

My 2016 Jeep Patriot reads "d0n3" which obviously means "done". Does this mean there actually isn't an issue and these lights are coming on for nothing?

Turning key three times will ONLY show engine codes (if any)... I have the ABS/Traction lights on and no engine codes so i get the mesage "done" on my dash after turning key three times. OBD2 Code-Scanner also does NOT show any codes for this ABS/Traction lights. Were you able to get any codes displaed for your ABS/Traction lights on?

I know this is an old vid but after I replaced my brakes and rotors, I'm having this issue. However, ABS and traction control lights only come on when I start the jeep. Once I start driving, the lights turn off. No idea if it's the WSS or not

Hi, i have a 17 jk with 18k miles on it, and it just started doing the same thing but only when the car has been unused for hours and as soon as i turn it on and move a bit, it makes this rough sound as if one of the wheels was stuck, would lose power too for a few secs then , everything goes back to normal after abs and trac lights pop up, and after a minute of driving the lights just desappear

I have an issue with the car that is throwing C2200 ABS internal control Module code. I have a OBD2 scanner that is a Bluedriver and a Superchip flashpak, I am not getting any other codes The cruise control works, and the ABS lights only come on when you drive faster than 20kmh. I took it into the mechanic for a service as I don't have time to do it myself at the moment, and I though his diagnostic might pick up a wheels sensor issues, he said the wheel speed sensors are working fine and it is an ABS module issue. if you clear the code it doesn't show up again until you drive over 20kmh. any ideas?

I have 2013 Laredo, the ESC light turned on every morning without selecting the button , I have to start the engine for few minutes and turn it off and start the engine again and things go back normal, I have checked everything by the computer and there was no error?? any help please?

The key trick will show ABS codes as well? I thought it would only show "p" codes.

My mechanic put new rear brakes on, I immediately had my emergency brake not work (took it back for them to fix) now my ABS won’t shut off. Is this his problem too?

Was driving down a steep and curvy road in heavy rain today and the front wheels locked up in the beginning of a turn. Luckily I'm old enough that I learned to drive on cars before ABS and traction control were available and was able to react quickly, getting off the brakes enough for the wheels to roll again so I could steer...

Question, exactly what/how to “cycle ignition”

O'Reilly auto told me they couldn't read the code on my 17 JKU because it wasn't a CEL.

Ive got a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport i got the oil changed yesterday, drove it a few miles home then while i was driving it today it felt like the brakes were bieng applied then all of a sudden i lost all power, press the accelerator and nothing for a few seconds. I got power again but now my ABS and ECT lights are stuck on. Thanks for this video i tried to run the codes the way you explained and it worked but no codes popped up. When you had the issue with your jeep did you have codes pop up? Do you still think it could be a wheel speed sensor even though no codes popped up? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

So ... I'm driving a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. not even a week or 200 miles ago I had new rear brake pads and rotors put on. At 50k miles, I can see replacing pads but rotors ... really?! So after the brakes were done and 200 ' miles later ....I just got home from the dealership to replace the left rear wheel sensor. So you say you take off the tire and the rotor to get to this part. Am I crazy to think the mechanic caused it? I also had to replace the radiator at 48k miles. When they say they do the 24 point check ups do they actually top off the fluids? My first thought is I am driving a disposable vehicle?! Thanks for letting me vent. Oh and thanks for this video! I realize I'm not alone in this and too late on the don't let anyone else do the repair ... UGH! Oh and the ABS and traction lights both came and stayed on. When I tried to accelerate it felt like the left rear brake was engaged. Like the other 3 wheels wanted to go but the one did not. Jeep is always clean. Unless it happened at the car wash. Enough 🤔 for now.

I have 2016 JK. Having same issue: ABS and traction control lights are on. l cycled the key 3 times. No codes. Pretty sure l did it correctly bc l see the dashes and then it says done. Any suggestions? Haven’t been off-roading. Car is clean.

My 2015 JKU just threw the ABS and Traction Control warning lights. I tried the key cycling method and after it showed done without giving any codes. Also used a ScanGauge ll and it didn't show any codes. Now what? My Jeep isn't dirty and the brakes are good.

2012 Jeep Compass all warning lights flashing and car sometimes went to limp mode (press on gas and car drives slowly without much power) after starting. Looked like some sensors were malfunctioning. Found out needed new vehicle battery (was 7 years old). Replaced battery but not all warning lights went off. Got mechanic to try to reset with his gadget, but lights went back on after I left shop. Drove that way for weeks because it was only warning lights, not a mechanical problem. Didn't have time to go back to mechanic and he never charged me anyway, so was going to make an appointment. Sat in car at home while on but parked and in frustration pulled up on the emergency brake lever firmly, lowered it, and pressed emergency brake button 3 times quickly. ABS and traction warning lights went off and have stayed that way. Car is good as new again with only a battery change and a mini temper tantrum.

The ABS codes don’t show with the key method. You gotta get diagnostics done.

good video. my wrangler unlimited JK has this same problem. traction control and abs lights on randomly. dealership tested all sensors and none were bad. it was to the dealer 3 times and the problem has not been fixed. I just thought of these questions though after reading some comments here... the bf goodrich all terrain mud tires on mine are extremely cupped and worn out randomly on the tread( i did not properly rotate these tires when new. they now have 24K miles on them (mostly pavement miles) and while driving the road noise from the tires is annoying as ever so I know they are bad. don't have the money to replace the tires just yet. but finally my questions...could these worn tires cause my traction control and abs lights to come on ? has anyone heard of new tires eliminating this problem ?

You don't have to take off the wheels or the rotors to replace those things. I had lights come on and just did all 4. Fuck it. It's just a plug and a bolt for each.
