I bought my 2016 JK for the same reason you did. It didn't make financial sense not to. This was very helpful. You explained a few things that I've asked "experts" about that didn't have answers. Nobody ever mentions the importance of changing your gear ratios when enlarging the tires. Also, I had no idea what relays were for until now. Please tell me who makes the backdoor shelf. Thanks again.

Nice Rig! i love the poison spider all around. and those king shocks are bank :). Just an observation, besides the body upgrades (fender, bumpers, lights, winch, etc) wouldn't a Rubicon been cheaper? Comes with D44, 4.10 gears, lockers front and back, and 4:1 low range, disconnect for front sway. etc. granted the 37s like you mention would need re-gearing to get that power back. regardless, that's a sweet rig. whats your next mod?
That's an extremely badass set up 👌🏼👌🏼 I'm a sports car kind of guy, buy would love a Raptor and Wrangler to mod like this and take out to be used correctly

HA! Meaty, my old buddy Tony and I used to use the 'ol ether trick to get his dump truck tires back on the bead, and yes, ***DISCLAIMER WARNING - i DO NOT recommend anyone doing this as it is VERY dangerous and can cause injury!***
Better yet having a work garage, tools, and know how to do this! So yeah, most guys that have this can easily save $$$ doing work themselves since typically the labor alone is allot!
the tires alone are like $1600 the rims they're on are close to $400 a piece too. doing the work doesn't save you any money on that, the poison spider bumpers are expensive too, the rear is $1600. coil overs are crazy expensive too. the dudes got money, whether he's installing it himself, or paying someone to do it. i'm not hating though, good for him.

This Jeep is sweet! Man. It must be fun to drive and do whatever you plan to do with. Very classy. Definitely like the stabilized counter on the back door. LOL! Imagine all the possibilities you could do with all that support and privacy with your rack awning. Whew! Boggles the mind. Take care.
I have done a lot of stuff to my truck lowering it and a bunch of stuff jacking up my 01 jeep and let me tell you, you have done a hell of a job on that jeep!!

Really amazing jeep setup. I'm a major fan of the 37inch tire. Looking into getting a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon before the end of the year. I might settle for used no older than 2013 to make sure I still get the new v6 Pentastar engine. Just having a hard time with the prices between 2013s and 2016s being within $10k difference and the 2013s average 70,000 km on the odometer. Might as well go new.
+Meatwagon22 I've been watching your videos and such on here for about a year now because I love the games you play, myself, I can't play them cuz I have severe vision issues but now I see all these other things you're into such as guns and cars and such, your Jeep is really awesome! Personally I'm a Toyota fan for wheelers but my Dad and I are currently building a 53 Willy's Highhood and an 85 CJ7, you're really awesome man, I enjoy your video game videos and your IRL videos!
I have a question on mpg. Do you find going with the 5.13 gears versus a 5.38 does better with mpg (staying around stock mpg numbers as if it was on smaller tires)? Also, would the 5.38 gears be more suited for 38s or bigger or would they be okay on 37s as well?
Notice most radically modified Jeeps are the Sports version. So not worth buying a Rubicon since the suspension and axles get replaced? Would sway bar disconnect be too much of a pain to upgrade with mods? Also Pffft...stock exhaust and MPac tail gate table much better and cheaper! hehe
Awesome built but One major problem, why the hell did you buy the gutless fuel wasting 3.6 petrol pentastar? When you could have got a common rail turbo diesel for $5000us more!
I also believe in functionality of my jeep. Already put in steel bumper,winch and underbody skid plates and some day a lift.Got me a 2014 jeep rubicon. Metal fenders will pass the impact into engine, always wondered if its the right thing to do.

Great build! Almost all of it the way I would have done it. I have a built YJ and have done almost all of my mods for function as well. How do you like the JK so far? I have been looking into buying a new 4 door myself.
