The first and only aluminum corner guards for the JL! These are a lot easier to install before the body damage starts happening 😅 We have been making and installing these since 2020 and have put a few install tips together in our newest video.
These are precisely formed to match your JL's body from 3/16" thick aluminum plate or 3/16" steel plate (if optioned) for the thickest, most robust corner armor you can buy for your Jeep! If you're going to count on your armor on the trail, you'll want to avoid plastic and thinner gauge metal guards. These are fully compatible with aftermarket or factory rear tail lamps -- which means these are compatible with your blind spot detectors if you wish to keep all of your safety features!
As anyone who has repaired trail damage and replaced sheet metal on a Jeep will tell you, it's not a big deal to replace a fender, the hood, or a door since they were meant to unbolt anyways. The body tub technically can be unbolted from everything and replaced; however, it is bolted to everything from the frame, to your steering, brakes, and electrical harnesses! You can now protect and strengthen the largest and most integral piece of sheet metal on your JLU with our Rear Corner Armor!

we just collected the rest of the 3d scan data we needed for a 2 Door JL corner set. No ETA yet, but making progress towards them!

When you do the final install do you put any silicone or anything else between the body and the corner guard to prevent rust?

Richard, thanks for asking! We probably should have included a little bit about that in the video in hindsight. I typically clear coat/paint the areas we've drilled out before inserting any hardware. Even a paint pen around the edge of the new cutouts seems to help. As for attempting to seal the corner armor to the body with a gasket; that is not something I did on my first set that was installed; and after a couple of years and removing the armor, we had only a light coating of dust between the armor and the body. There is enough of a gap at the bottom that water doesn't get trapped and is allowed out, and the small gap between the armor and body panels isn't large enough for much of anything else to get in. If you do want to seal it up that way, I would recommend only sealing the top to cut down on the amount of water and debris that might get in, but leaving the bottom open so it can drain in the event it does find it's way in. Worse case scenario might be a seal that allows it in but won't allow it to flow out 🤙

@@NextVentureMotorsports ooooo yes dude! I don't want to drill holes and would love to use 3M tape like the rocker guards. I will patiently wait and order the rocker guards for now.

@@Joes432 my apologies; I assumed you meant no tail lamp holes as that's been requested a lot recently. 3M tape to apply the rocker guards is not something we have tested yet. If you really use them, you might really want them to be fastened and torqued down. We'll consider it though!
