Same with me! The dealer keeps making me feel like I'm the only one with this problem. Glade I came across the video. I'm going to show my dealer this. I hope they provide the same thing for their Canadian customers! So beyond frustrated with this vehicle.
@@marthacecilia2856 Jeep just replaced my transmission under a Goodwill gesture at 94000 kms. I have to pay the labour, but better than nothing. It got towed to the dealer 27 Dec and should be ready in a week or so. Than off to my Honda dealer for a 2020 Civic SI. Never a Jeep again!
I traded my Jeep Renegade for a Nissan Rogue, it is a day an night difference, I will never buy Américan car again, I love my country, but when they make cars that break, no one wants to buy that crap. I really like the style of the Jeep, but the car gives you problems all the time and by the way those cars don't hold value at the end as Japanese cars do. It is been two years since I got my Nissan Rogue and that thing drives and performs like a real machine, no problems whatsoever.
Having the same issues with my 2016 Jeep Cherokee Latitude. I've even had a brand new transmission put in my car. I'm so over this car with the back and forth to get repairs that never fix the problem in the first place. I really wish that I would have known this before I wasted my money on this piece of junk.
I’m a long time JEEP owner, but, always the Grand Cherokee Models. What JEEP should have done was given the Customer a new Grand Cherokee and not an entry level trim option, but, loaded! They would have kept a loyal Customer and received many, many kudos in so doing. Jeep broke the first rule of business, “Never make your problems your Customer’s problem!!” Here it is almost 2020 and these companies still don’t get it! Even the DFB NFL doesn’t get it, but, that’s another story!!🤔🤔🤔
They claim that the 2016 Jeep Cherokee transmission has improved but FALSE! I have a 2016 Jeep Cherokee, and the same issue, it makes a violent jerking movement when it shifts gear, it looses power, I've had minor injuries with this issue. I made a claim with FCA, they made me wait 3 months! and they never answered my calls, until my 3-Year warranty ended! They're BAD! I hope they know the millions of issues they've created.
Ask Jeep to change all plastic part’s in the engine! The 2014 Jeep Sport Willy’s addition has a plastic oil housing that cracks! It cost 1000+ to repair Jeep doesn’t put a warranty on the plastic part’s! There’s 100’s of complaints! I’ll never purchase anything Jeep and I’ll warn everyone about the plastic that they put on the engines! Job security at our expense!
When you step into a new vehicle you always have to tweak your driving skills. 5 years driving a Jeep Sport and no problems. I don't care what vehicle you buy...you can go online and find several hundred unhappy people. Buy a vehicle with the longest bumper to bumper warranty you can find. Look after it, don't abuse it, drive safe, and sleep well.
Mine is a 2019 and is having the same issue. Bought it in November and it has been back and forth to the dealer 4 times already and is going back again. They don't know how to fix the problem. So frustrating
I just leased a 2019 Cherokee Limited. Had it a month, just turned 600 miles. I like it a lot, but not a fan of the transmission either. It is too eager to upshift and does not like to downshift. However, no lurching, no lugging. I just think a transmission with 9 gears would have enough gears to always be in the right gear. One of my friends is a service writer at the dealership I purchased from; I spoke to him before buying because I knew there were some issues with this transmission. He said that they had problems with earlier models but had no complaints from owners of 2017-2018 model years. It was on his recommendation that I leased the vehicle.
Not all FCA transmissions are alike, as I have the Chrysler 8 speed torqueflight, which is excellent with immediate downshifts and smooth transitions, but it is only made for rear wheel drive vehicles, such as Grand Cherokee, Chrysler and Dodge vehicles.
I have a 2015 Cherokee v6, they keep telling me it’s been to long and my warranty is done, I bought this car second hand at 75k have had issues since the 3rd month driving it !! Brought it to the dealer I got it under the 90 day warranty of course they claimed it was fine , I trusted them - check engine light came back on and has been on since 2021, finally today it broke down again I’m done ! … ,
I am currently having transmission problems with same year make and model AS WELL AS the CARGO AREA LEAKS SO BAD!! AND IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THESE JEEPS but they only did a recall If you have the electronic lift gate cuz it was causing fires!! But the rest of us are screwed?! I am part of a Jeep forum myself and at least 100 others have reached out to Chrysler to no avail if you want another story!
My daughter bought a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo on July 5th, 2016. She has been having problems since day 1. The car will lunge when put in reverse or on starting and stopping. Today 3/30 she was on the highway driving to work, stopped at a red light and the car locked up in neutral. A police officer stopped to assist and he too couldn't get it out of neutral. She called a tow truck. The tow truck driver arrived with a flatbed truck, he too couldn't get it out of neutral, he put the emergency brake on and towed it to the dealership. Is anyone else having these issues? She has only had the car 9 months it's absurd that she's having so many issues. She's taken it in on 3 separate occasions, explained the issues just to be told they can't find anything wrong with it???? COULD SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

My 2015 jgc has transmission downshift issues. From 5th to 4th and 2nd to 1st, it'll thump down into gear. They flashed it, didn't work. They changed the trans, didn't work. Another flash was done today. Let's see what happens.
I bought my 2016 Jeep Cherokee TrailHawk (All Black) V6 in October and I LOVE IT!!! I haven't had any issues. But some new vehicles have malfunctions in the initial release. I think it's safe to say JEEP has worked out all of the bugs!😎

My 2014 cherokee have the same transmission problem. The transmission failed twice when driving. It's horrible. Please let me know if you have a solution. I'm in Houston, too.

I just bought a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude 4x4 red velvet color on December 20 of 2017. The problem I have had with it so far is that is way too sexy and it works so good so far!!!!!!!!!. Can someone please help me, to make people stop starring at it and telling me how good it looks!!!!!
