The leaves definitely cant help you with traction. good driving, well done on the rocking back and forth, would of got out quicker without those leaves. good video
@313foxbody420 I gotta tell ya, it's pretty nice. There just isn't much that Michigan can put up to stop a D44. There is always Drummond Island where, D44s work, what D60s would be a big help. You can always go bigger right?
@LaZyLuKe25 a sway bar is suppose to keep the vehicle from leaning over on 1 side severely when you turn which can cause a rollover. in otherwords it keeps the body to the suspension stable. thats the way i understand it.
4 low is for crawling, like up rock ledges or steep hill climbs. 4 high should be used in mud because you want wheel spin (to a point) to help throw the mud off of your tires and keep them clean so you're not just coating your tires in mud and losing traction.
yeah man.. I love the looks of these 4 doors.. Im gettin ready to pick one up myself. Im lookin to put at least a 7" lift on it and a nice set of skins to go with it.. Im just worried about the V6's ability to push somethin like that.. anyone have any input on that? Im also gonna be putting a 10,000 lb winch on the front. The military pays me well, and I have nothing better to spend my money on.. any suggestions anyone may have that you think would do wonders, please lemme know!
I require members in my club to run their lights when we're on public trails, (which we usually run during the day), because there are sometimes atvs ripping through the trails. It's easier to see vehicles through trees with lights on.
I absolutely hate mud. It gets inside every nook and cranny of the underbody and messes up the running gear. It takes forever to clean and then you still find more crap a week later. I stick to rock crawling.
@ApexIXMR Check out Delta Lighting out of CA. quadrateccom carries most of their stuff including this hood bar I think. Thats where I got mine. But I'll warn you now, now the brightest you can buy. I actually took mine off and sold the Delta headlamps I had installed. Just seems like they're more for the "road show" than the trail.
No. It's a 48" Hi-Lift with a cover on it. I have since taken it off that location as I almost ripped the tailgate off when the hi-lift found a 4" diameter tree branch.
...You can forget the cruise ctrl. Unless you get a serious intake, upgrade the exhaust, and throw a programmer on it. You might gain 24 hp if you go top-of-line, but that's pushing it. Stay conservative and add only 14 hp. My cruise ctrl works only at < 55mph. It will work on 70 mph on flat terrain. As soon as you hit an overpass, disengage cruise and carry it over. You may want to increase your throttle response with a secondary programmer. BTW, use Premium. :) --Rob USMC
I love Jeep. I've owned 2 Cherokee's (ZJ and current XJ) and a TJ. By far the best so far is my XJ which I currently have. I have offroading videos and I do offroad..... But 4 door JK are not very good at offroading. They are made now for looks instead of performance. Jeep has went down hill since they came out with 4 door JK and replaced the 4.0l My XJ would do this hole any day with even thinking of getting stuck. Sad days for Jeep
Thanks meh669, I'm trying to get the Jeep muddymore than get out of a stuck situation. 69eatapeach, where are your muddin vids? Maybe you need the carolla bro.
@Aaronfx4 Again, as I have said 4 times before, most of the trails we ride have two-way traffic with sport atvs ripping through here at 30mph+. My lights are to give advance warning that I am ahead on the trail. Safety, not to look special.
@kowz4u True that. Is it bad that I think it's disgusting how your offroading abilities are determined by what you buy for your vehicle, and not your ability to get past an obstacle with as little as possible?
The military pays you well? ...Which military are you talking about? Unless you're like a pencil pushing General in charge of like....an ammo supply depot... I suppose. I have a '08 4dr. JK with a 4" lift, running 35's. It's got an 8,000 lb. winch will need an upgrade soon to 10K. Smittybuilt front and rear bumpers with a tire carrier. The sucker weighs about 7,200 lbs. Which is heavy. I get on average, an economy of 11 mpg city, 19 hwy. continued...
ur gay. youve obviously never been in an unlimited. its 100% jeep! and if you have n e doubts, just youtube it. I have 1 myself and prefer it over the shorter 1ns cuz u can fit more stuff in it when u take the family on outdoor trips!
