This video is about how I view my Jeep TJ and try to speak from a different perspective that an owner like myself may think, ask about, car needs, desires, etc.
This is my Jeep showcase video for KyleSVT. I wanted to post it on my own being that he hasn't gotten back to me on whether or not he'll use it.

Nice overview. I agree that there are not enough videos like this for first time Jeep owners. I have 98 TJ that belong to my late uncle. It's clean. No lift with 31x10.5 tires on 15 inch alloys. At best it's going to be a beach/dunes Jeep. I'm not into rock crawling or mud. That takes a toll on the Jeep and I'm not a mechanic. We will see over time.

The 2.5 LT is a good engine. Look in the Jeep literature and see the tire sizes. Use the largest size tire that is factory recommended, nothing smaller and certainly nothing bigger. Good review and good luck with the Wrangler Jeep.

I have a 2005 Jeep TJ SE, also a 4 cylinder, I really like it, a little better on gas than the 6 and good enough for me. I find most Jeep owners under estimate and don’t appreciate a 4 cylinder, so I like to remind them all WW2 jeeps were 4 cylinders! Like yourself, I’m keeping mine original stock as possible, no lifts or anything fancy. Here in Canada, all used Jeeps don’t depreciate in value as compared to regular cars and trucks, so there’s a lot of demand for them and resale prices are extremely high! You should try installing a soft top, I find it provides a whole new fun experience, I’ve had both type of tops. I think the TJ’s were the last of the “real” Jeeps, the new ones are too expensive and have way too many power features and options! A Jeep should be as originally designed and intended as a bare bones utility working vehicle! Thanks for the great video and have fun with your TJ!

Lol! Somthing so awesome about these vehicals!!! I'm watching this video thinking "I already watched this video" and sure enough, poof! I Just remembered a part I needed for my 2.5L!!! You just can't beat this life style with these vehicals!!! Thanks! And yes, I had a 6 cylinder and the 2.5 4 cylinder is a neat experience!!! You actually have to understand the vehical to appreate what it's for! And it drives nice only if you know how to drive it! It may not feel fast for the non experienced, but it works and pulls like no other!!! Work horse and powerful vehical!

Vents in the hardtop are just that: *_VENTS_* . In the "Block TWO" Jeep TJ / LJ Wranglers, ChryCo. moved the vents to the rear door as the 1997 - 2002 (Block ONE) didn't have vents in the rear door & had them in the factory hardtop. Have a 2003 TJ 4.0L here w/ hardtop and got it when there were 2002 Jeep TJ's w/ 2.5L four on the lot: got to see firsthand. The 2003 Jeep TJ here has been a daily-driver since the showroom floor in Oct. 2003. You gotta good Jeep there!

I have a 01 TJ with a 2.5 auto trans and I have had mine in places that newer bigger Jeep’s could not get through. I have 31.5 tires and stock lift but with it being lighter in the front end and having better gears than the 4.0’s it makes a difference where and when it counts.

The jeeps that are left "stock" are hard to find and right now are so expensive. I have been looking for a month and no luck. Nice find.

Nice color, nice car, the 2.5 more soft car and the 4.0 feel like a truck drive.

2.5 or 4.0 doesn't matter . . . it's a Jeep ;-) Vents are to prevent the windows from flying out if you slam the door shut. The "younger models" have the vent in the middle of the tailgate the older ones have the vents in the hardtop (mine is a 4.0 2001 and has a vented hardtop) Problem is, I don't see a vent in the tailgate or the hardtop of your Jeep. I think you are lucky to have half doors! These clothed doors allow enough air pressure to escape when you slam the doors shut, otherwise the windows of the hardtop could be pushed out of the rubbers. This could be a reason why one of the windows started leaking.
