All 2018 onwards Jeep Wranglers have steering issues, well known problem. Watch all the minor steering adjustment she has to make whilst going in a relatively straight line. Google Jeep Wrangler steering issue to read more.
Jon, that's probably not a steering problem as such, but the nature of a vehicle principally designed for hard-core, off-roading. I have owned Jeep Wranglers since 2002 and they all have loose steering on the tarmac, but are immensely fun on and off the road.
@@stonemarten1400 Steering on the Jeep JKs is infinitely better than the new Jeep JLs that uses an over-assisted hydro steering system. see the NHTSA link I pasted below.
@@curiousgeorge6921 Agreed, they are awesome for off-road, thats why I bought mine, however they have a serious steering issue. I have driven over 6 different Jeep JL's , the new 2020 model with the AE steering box is improved, but still wanders and the steering is loose at highway speeds 60mph+ Take a read on the below link, I am not making it up! www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2018/JEEP/WRANGLER
It's a common problem with vehicles that have a solid front axle. Recirculating ball steering wanders and the manufacturers never put stiff enough track bars, drag links or tie rods on these vehicles. My Ram had the same issue until I went to larger diameter bars for everything.
