Buddy uaually lays back when he plays with other guitarists-doesn't want tp show them up. Didn't have to do that wirh Jeff. Jeff was the last man alive who could match chops with Buddy. R.I.P. Jeff.
Thanks for posting, what a gift! And Jeff here, 72,73, or74 yrs old? 01/10/2023, R.I.P. Jeff Beck! Great one for the archives, always, Buddy too, both together, so freakin’ great... P.S. Buddy- Damn Right, I Got The Blues! ( look it up) Also, Gotta find out, who’s that harp player?
Thanks for the lineup! Jimmy Hall was a good singer, Jeff Beck's whole band was really together, top-notch. Seemed like the other gittarist was a little reserved at first, but she finally soloed. Buddy Guy's band was also great. Do you happen to know their names?
Only wish and hope that present day performers no matter what they play, respect and continue the traditions and acknowledge those who came before them as is the case here
almost polar opposites, the styles attract; neither a spotlight hog- Beck so eccentric, nobody like him at all, and Guy, a great Buddy, relates to us all, as if personally, does much of what others do- just so very much better. I love Page, Clapton especially and Trower ( also a bit eccentric ) -so many, West, Son Seals- Barre, and Jimi above all, (ok Randy Hansen is supposed to be Jimi reincarnated, according to Jimi's fam, and maybe so- he is wild! Everyone is good with GUY, yet of all -Beck the most interesting duo. Awesome and then some.
I wish they had the camera on that kid playing his turn you had it on Jeff and Buddy you need to put the camera on who's turn it is thats the only part that sucked the rest was great
