@@minglee9288 You have to become a businessman/manager if you're going to start a company from nothing and become the biggest in the world. But it's interesting and sort of depressing that throughout most of the history of innovation, inventors captured 0% of the value they created for the world. The Wright brothers didn't get rich off aviation. After the beginning of the industrial revolution and the first factories created, all the wealth in western Europe was still in the hands of the aristocracy. Many more examples. It was only in computer technology that you see creators/inventors capturing > 0% of the value they gave the world. It's the exception to the rule.

There’s a recent interview where he was asked about his space exploration project, and interestingly he answered it by explaining laying out the infrastructure needed for the future generation. Seeing this video now and connecting his rationale of Blue Origin kind of shows how appreciative he was of those people who came before him that laid the groundwork for Amazon.

The day this was filmed (2/1/03), amazon’s stock was valued at $21.85 a share. As of today (5/2/19) amazon’s stock is valued at $1,900.82 a share. That is an increase of 8599.41%. To put in perspective how massive this jump in value is… Let’s say you went to this ted talk and never heard of Amazon and walked out and decided to invest roughly $1000 in Amazon. 46 shares would have been worth $1,005.10. Those shares today would be worth $87,437.72. Don’t ever let someone tell you that the stock market is only for the rich. We all are free to invest and we all should.

11:19 shoe dryers are popular in Russia. Imagine that for half-year you have snow everywhere and crappy city infrastructure. Time by time you'd get enough snow in your boots and it'd get melted making them humid inside and walking in humid boots is extremely dangerous for health. Also since boots are very important they are generally expensive, so you care for them to last longer. Though tosters are weirdly unpopular here.

@@0ptimal why ?
@0ptimal
@0ptimal 4 года назад
@@nounacceptables well been awhile but I still believe in all 3. With AR being the one I think will prove most impactful(for now). I think one day, there will come an AR device that will be as influential/revolutionary as the smartphone was. Maybe more so. (When I say AR I'm talking about AR+AI+Human - think of the internet and all its usefulness and ability, integrated with your eyes) Remember the home PC, you sat in front of it, then came the laptop that you could carry, then came the smartphone that was with you always, next comes an even more convenient version of the computer that is with you always: AR device. Now speaking of some of the potential capabilities of AR: imagine wearing some sort of glasses(as an example, could be something else) and walking into the woods, and on your "screen", your view or what you naturally see when you look in front of you, you have a program identifying each tree, with whatever info you desire. Birds being identified, bugs, whatever. Basically the equivalent of you grabbing your phone and trying to Google each one of these things, but instead it's done automatically and displayed right before your eyes. Now imagine walking to a car, popping the hood, looking at the motor and saying you want to change the water pump, then your AR device proceeds to indicate step one in the process, showing you in real time what exactly to do first. These are just a couple of examples but are pretty amazing to think about. We will be almost superhuman. Human and all the information of the internet(not to mention the power of AI as well) combined. People say "ar glasses will never take off, nobody wants to wear something on their face all day." Well I agree but that's not a limiting factor anymore. The usefulness and benefits of the tech will far outweigh the hassle of having to wear it. Who would have thought we would be carrying around a small brick I'm our hands all day everyday? But we do because of the usefulness and benefit it bring into our lives. So much so that we rarely put it down. When ARs abilities become understood by people, and they see what it can do for their lives it will not be a problem to wear glasses or whatever it is. It will get to a point where people will be at a severe disadvantage if they do not utilize the tech. VR while I love and believe in, I think is for now more suited for games/entertainment and training. AR you can add it to your everyday experience, tasks, instead of delving into another world. Block chain compliments both. The way I see it is: block chain can make digital things tangible, and with the evolution of technology towards the use of ar/vr, digital world's, this use case only seems natural to me. Little ways to go yet but I have no doubt the integration of man+ar is coming.

RESEARCH: Jeff Bezos. His maternal grandfather was a founding member of DARPA = CIA... He is key Deep State Supporter. War is coming.... know your true enemy, becasue he knows you... Jeff is special alright, his gramps gave him the keys to the castle, it didn't come from hard work and luck... Wake the F up, Raman.

I like the fact that Bezos is talking about the infrastructure. I think, he is doing that right now in 2019 to the space travel sector. While Musk to the pioneer in travel and explorations, Bezos is preparing an infrastructure for others that could advance in the future because of his work today.

It doesn't have to be a perfect plan from the start because with more people joining your journey you will get new ideas and with trial and error you will find the ones that succeed and make your company able to scale up. The outlets are NOT installed "upside down". They are installed to minimize the chance of shock/fire and is also thought to improve the connection by having to points of contact at the base. If the plug was not fully in the outlet and a piece of conductive material were to fall down and touch the contacts it would arc. If the outlet is installed with the ground up, the conductive material would touch the ground and not arc. Outlets were also installed upside down by some electricians to denote that the outlet is controlled by a wall switch before the new code requiring the outlet be labeled and have the switch symbol.
